Hello,
The website I’m working on is:
http://www.bodytalkcare.comWhen I click on a page it’s not loading the advanced content editor in my dashboard.
And when the content element shows, and I try to click on it, I get an error message:
“Error fetching content – please reload the page and try again.”
And sometimes the content element will show and I click it, and for example if it is a text element I click it and it opens blank and doesn’t show the text?
Is there a solution to this?
November 17, 2015 at 1:19 am #537004Hi Nathan!
Have you tried clearing your websites cache or disabling all of your plugins to see if there is a conflict?
If the above doesn’t fix the issue, please provide us with temporary admin access to your website so we can take a closer look.
Best regards,
DakeNovember 17, 2015 at 1:29 am #537009Hi Dake,
Thank you for the response.
I have not tried to clear the website cache.
Would you be open to guiding me how to do that please?I hear you, and yes I have deleted plugins that were not in use. Thank you for that suggestion.
November 17, 2015 at 1:47 am #537014Hey!
An option in your dash/backend for clearing your cache should be available if and only if you are using a caching plugin,
Also I meant that you should try disabling all of your plugins that are currently enabled (not delete/remove).
That we we can confirm if there is a plugin conflict causing the issue.
Regards,
DakeNovember 17, 2015 at 2:06 am #537022I hear you.
It should be available if I’m using a caching plugin.I hear you.
Disable them not delete the plugin.I’ll learn more about to see if there is a caching plugin I’m using.
and how to clear the cache.Thank for your help
November 17, 2015 at 2:10 am #537023is “Delete Cache Pages” and when you mentioned “clearing cache” the same thing or two different things?
ThanksNovember 17, 2015 at 2:29 am #537028Hey!
If you provide us with admin credentials in the private content section, we can look into the issue and confirm if you have a caching plugin installed/enabled.

November 17, 2015 at 5:11 am #537076Hi!
You have WP Super Cache installed and it appears that your cache was recently cleared.
I’m not experiencing the error message on multiple pages, is there a specific page that causes the error message to appear?
Best regards,
DakeNovember 17, 2015 at 5:43 am #537092I hear you, you’re not experiencing the error message on multiple pages.
Yes there is a specific page, :”Home” page, I’m clicking on the Text Block for “Values” and it shows no words when it opens.
November 17, 2015 at 5:47 am #537094Sometimes it loads the Text Block content and sometimes it takes longer and doesn’t.
November 17, 2015 at 7:33 am #537139Hi!
Can you check with your hosting company and let us know the php memory limit?
That can happen when the page takes time to loads sometimes and other note. Can you ask them to increase it?
Thanks a lot
Cheers!
BasilisNovember 18, 2015 at 6:56 am #537834Yes, Host Gator said it’s 256.
I hear you, that can happen when page tales time to load sometime.
I asked them and they said that is their limit and that I would need a “personal server.”November 19, 2015 at 11:13 pm #539261Hi,
I’m still experiencing the advanced layout editor not appearing in the content section.
Could you please guide me how to resolve this so it loads?Thank you support!
November 20, 2015 at 3:31 am #539336Update:
I contacted HostGator today and, they were able to pull it up on their computer.
I tried to edit content from both Firefox and Chrome and nothing is coming up in the page editor, neither default editor or advanced.
If you are about to access it, then would that be a flash issue on my computer?
Thank you for your help.
November 20, 2015 at 6:20 pm #539847Update:
I’ve contacted Mozilla support and they suggested:
“Many site issues can be caused by corrupt cookies or cache. In order to try to fix these problems, the first step is to clear both cookies and the cache”
I did that, and I’m not showing any page editing content, and what it is showing is a waiting wheel for about 10 sec. then it’s all white:

November 21, 2015 at 7:30 am #540102Update:
I temporarily changed the theme to the default (TwentyFifteen) theme and I can edit content, so from my point of view, the issue is in Enfold, and seemed to happen right after I updated Enfold.
Should I go back to an earlier version of Enfold?
I really need to move forward with my website goals with Enfold, is there a solution to this?
Thank you for your support.
November 21, 2015 at 8:43 am #540121My Home page has disappeared and the advanced layout editor is showing under where the content goes.

November 21, 2015 at 10:16 pm #540262Hi!
Your page is ” heavy ” loaded and that is why it takes time and expires as it seems.
can you please check your php version, that the server is running on?Regards,
BasilisNovember 21, 2015 at 10:26 pm #540264Hi Basilis thank you for your response and support.
I hear you, the page is heavy, and that’s why it’s taking time and expires.
Where would I check the php version? Do I do that in WordPress or call my hosting comany?
Thank you
November 21, 2015 at 10:28 pm #540265Could you please help me learn what “php version” means?
Thank you.
November 21, 2015 at 11:41 pm #540283HostGator said it’s 5.4 php with an option for 5.5
Do I need to get the 5.5 php? or can this problem be resolved within Enfold support?
Thank you.
November 21, 2015 at 11:49 pm #540286I feel unclear about what “heavy” specifically means, and I need more clarity on that please.
From our point of view, we feel there is not really that much content even on this site, It’s just text and some images.
Could you please explain what specifically is making it “heavy”?
Thank you.
November 25, 2015 at 3:32 pm #542469Hey!
please stick to theme related questions only. You can ask your host about your php version. Maybe the images are too heavy? check if you are using web optimized images.
Regards,
Andy -
