Trying to install enfold for a client and everytime I install I get this error when trying out the site.

Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_FUNCTION, expecting ‘)’ in /home/ericfisc/public_html_fischtankpr.com/wp-content/themes/enfold/framework/php/font-management/class-avia-font-management-base.php on line 429

    Hey esemmel,

Where exactly are you seeing that? How are you installing the theme and what version are you using?

    Best regards,
    Rikard

Hi. I am seeing it right after the theme is installed and I Try to “preview” it or I make it, or the child theme active.

I am installing the theme using the installer and the enfold.zip file, also tries the therefore zip file. all had the same result, this error.

It is the latest version to download through themeforest.

Other themes work so it seems to only happen with enfold.

Hi, seeing if someone can help with this issue. Can’t install my theme and get this site going until this issue is resolved.
I’ve added login info in pvt.

    Hi,

Thanks for that, I get the same error on my end. Could you post FTP login details in private as well please? Also, do you know what version of PHP you are running on the server?

    Best regards,
    Rikard

    Hey,

You are currently using an older version of PHP. Could you please contact your hosting provider and ask them to upgrade PHP version to minimum 5.6 and preferably to 7.x?

    Cheers!

Yes, I saw that it was previously 5.2, but I’ve upgraded to 5.6 which is the latest Godaddy offers.

    Hi!

    @jsterk88
if you are still having issues after upgrading to PHP 5.6, please start a new thread under Enfold sub forum and attach FTP and WP admin logins in private content field so we can look into it :)
