Hello support-team,
I did a theme update via FTP and received the following error:
Fatal error: Cannot redeclare av_countdown_events_fallback() (previously declared in /homepages/33/d486939350/htdocs/app581282422/wp-content/themes/enfold/config-templatebuilder/avia-shortcodes/events_countdown/events_countdown.php:16) in /homepages/33/d486939350/htdocs/app581282422/wp-content/themes/enfold/config-templatebuilder/avia-shortcodes/events_countdown.php on line 8
Do you know how to fix it?
Cheers!
February 25, 2019 at 4:02 am #1071113Hey nini_bacher
Did you delete the old enfold folder via FTP first and then added the folder with the new Enfold version in it?
I imagine you dragged it over and then selected “overwrite”, but this will leave some old files behind. So you would need to do it the proper way :)Hope that helps, otherwise just let me know.
Best,
MichaelFebruary 25, 2019 at 9:54 am #1071169Dear Michael,
thank you for getting back to me, you are right, I just overwrite the old theme folder.
So I did as recommended (deleting the old enfold folder and placing the new one with enfold 4.4) and a new warning/error occurs.
Do you have further ideas how to get the site up and running again?
Thank you!
February 25, 2019 at 9:57 am #1071172Mh that should work without errors actually.
What kind of error message do you get and why did you upload Enfold 4.4 and not the most recent version 4.5.4?February 25, 2019 at 10:06 am #1071174Hello again,
yes, I just looked up the correct number in version.txt 4.5.4 is up now.
The warning isn’t showing now, when I refresh the page (the Logo and Menu are white and displayed).
In the backend the following error messages appear:

February 25, 2019 at 6:51 pm #1071406Hi nini_bacher,
Please rename Enfold folder and upload the fresh copy, if it all works fine, delete the renamed folder. All this has to be done via cPanel.
If you need further assistance please let us know.
Best regards,
VictoriaFebruary 27, 2019 at 9:36 am #1072218Thank you Victoria,
I did as recommended and the outcome isn’t satisfying. The (white) menu is displayed and the rest is unaccessible.
How can this be solved?
March 1, 2019 at 6:11 pm #1073311Hi nini_bacher,
I am seeing the blank page.
Can you please check server log for error?
Please delete the other version of Enfold. It is causing conflict.
Best regards,
VictoriaMarch 4, 2019 at 9:44 am #1074246Hello Victoria,
thank you for your message.
The page wasn’t blank, but white. In the header the white menu items were displayed in white.
Anyway, I deleted the other Enfold version and activated the error log via an alternation of the wp-config.php file.
An error is displayed now, but I don’t know how to proceed.

BasilisMarch 6, 2019 at 1:46 pm #1075495Hello Basillis,
the error is displayed on the site (please find link below in private content).
I’m looking forward to receive significant support, the site is down for almost 2 weeks now …
Thank you!
March 9, 2019 at 9:07 am #1076658Hi nini_bacher,
Please put this to your wp-config.php
// Turn debugging on define('WP_DEBUG', true); // Tell WordPress to log everything to /wp-content/debug.log define('WP_DEBUG_LOG', true); // Turn off the display of error messages on your site define('WP_DEBUG_DISPLAY', false); // For good measure, you can also add the follow code, which will hide errors from being displayed on-screen @ini_set('display_errors', 0);
Best regards,
VictoriaMarch 11, 2019 at 10:12 am #1077248Hello Victoria,
thank you for your answer. I did as recommended.

Whats next?
March 12, 2019 at 9:38 pm #1077991Hi nini_bacher,
It is ok, it not shown to your users anymore and the website functions ok, right?
Best regards,
VictoriaMarch 13, 2019 at 1:15 pm #1078264Hello Victoria,
thank you for your reply.
No, it’s not ok! The website isn’t displayed correctly (there should be video, text and photo content). Please help yourself and have a look.
I don’t see any progress here. Is the content of the debug.log file to any use for you?
How should I proceed?
March 14, 2019 at 7:13 pm #1078797Hi nini_bacher,
Hmmmm… I am not seeing any php errors. The warning does not break things. There are no theme errors but there is the database error.
Best regards,
VictoriaMarch 15, 2019 at 9:52 am #1079047Hello Victoria,
what does this mean?
Do you tell me, that after 20 days working on this thread, you are not responsible and therefore quit the support?
March 17, 2019 at 4:02 pm #1079611Hi nini_bacher,
NO, I did not tell you that,
You need to investigate more into the issue, please install a plugin like https://kinsta.com/blog/query-monitor/ and watch the database for a while.
Best regards,
VictoriaMarch 25, 2019 at 12:53 pm #1082637Hello Victoria,
via the hosting company I did a php version update, so the back in wordpress shows everything correctly again, also the content. But the site isn’t displayed correctly still.
The hosting company advised me to deactivate the advanced layout builder, because it is causing trouble. So I created a page without the advanced layout builder, and it worked.
How should I proceed? Without the advanced layout builder I can’t use many of the Enfold features…
March 31, 2019 at 1:49 am #1084979Hi,
Thank you for contacting us.
I can tell you for sure there is some sort of a script related to an adware is installed on your site. When I visit your site for the first time I get a random pop-up that takes me to a convert pdf site.
You may have not installed this Malware on purpose but there are many ways it can creep into your site. If you have any free plugins that was downloaded from outside the WordPress plugin directory or if your hosting account was hacked and someone randomly injected a script on all the sites on the hosting server.
Nothing to worry it can be resolved easily.
– First, uninstall any such plugins which are downloaded outside the plugin directory.
– Please update your WP and Hosting CP passwords to a strong password.
– Ask your hosting company to scan for virus on your site.
– Deactivate all plugins.
– Install WordFence
– Install Anti-Malware security pluginAlso refer to the below links
Best regards,
VinayApril 3, 2019 at 11:57 am #1086479Dear Vinay,
thank you for your response.
I followed all your recommendations. But still, the original site isn’t displayed (only the menu bar).
I decided to create a new page and fill it with content, with the intent to create a duplicate, because I’m losing hope that restoring the original site will work out.
Strange errors occur:
– color sections and content below color sections are not displayed
– there is no scrolling bar/possibility when the site is filled with more content (of any kind)The original site starts with a color section. Might there be a hint to solve all this?
Please find links and support login in the private content below.
Cheers!
