Hi, since yesterday I’ve been receiving the ERR_EMPTY_RESPONSE error in my website: http://www.paulomachado.com
I have already tried:
1. Using different browsers
2. Clearing the Cache
3. Reseting Network Connections
ipconfig /release
ipconfig /all
ipconfig /flushdns
ipconfig /renew
netsh int ip set dns
netsh winsock reset4. Changing PHP
memory_limit=128M
max_input_vars=2000
upload_max_filesize=64M
post_max_size=64M
max_execution_time=120And I still getting the error… It goes back online, but after a while, it goes down.
Could you please help me ASAP, since I am in a middle of a Sales Campagin through the website?I will provide you with a temporary user.
Thanks!
November 1, 2017 at 8:26 am #871090Hey prbmachado,
Thanks for that, though the login details are not working. Could you check and verify please? Also, how can we reproduce the problem?
Best regards,
RikardNovember 1, 2017 at 12:19 pm #871174Hi Rikard, thanks for the reply!
I am sending in private the login information. After hundreds of attempts, I could finally isolate the error…
It happens only at the homepage…
I have save a daily template of the design (Oct 26, Oct 27…) and so on…
The problem started to happen after the version Oct 29. Something that I change caused the problem to start happening.I am trying to identify precisely which change, but, apparently it was and embedded YouTube video that I added, which is pretty weird…
But, without the video, it works fine. Once I add the embed code from Youtube, I start getting the error.
THat is the code:<iframe width=”560″ height=”315″ src=”https://www.youtube.com/embed/H5bF0W-tHCM?rel=0&controls=0&showinfo=0″ frameborder=”0″ allowfullscreen></iframe>
Thanks for your support!
November 1, 2017 at 1:06 pm #871194UPDATE: it’s not a matter of the embedded video… the error happened before I uploaded the video.
I believe it is a fullwidth button that I added… I will keep digging…November 2, 2017 at 5:04 am #871524Hi,
Thanks for the feedback. I’m not sure if you need any help from us though? Please let us know if you should.
Best regards,
RikardNovember 4, 2017 at 3:30 pm #872534I certainly need help!
I built the homepage from zero once again and thought I had resolved the issue… but after a while I got the same error again!
My last resource will be to delete everything, buy a new theme and start over… I have already lost a week of sales because of this problem.
Please, this is my last try… I have been using ENFOLD for almost 5 years now!
http://www.paulomachado.comNovember 5, 2017 at 5:53 am #872690Hi,
Thanks for the feedback, though I’m pretty sure this is a problem local to your site. If it was a general problem with the theme then we would know about it already.
I’m not sure how to reproduce the problem though, I tried changing a few things on your front page and saving but I didn’t get any error messages. Do you have step by step instructions on how to reproduce it?
Best regards,
RikardNovember 7, 2017 at 10:27 pm #873911I still could not isolate what specifically trigger the error…
Today, for example, I was working all day and it was fine… However, just now I tried to save home as a template and then I got the error…ERR_EMPTY_RESPONSE
Then, it stays like that for a while… the error keeps happening… up until a point in a few hours where I can edit it again.
I would really appreciate any help… thanks for your efforts.
November 8, 2017 at 7:01 pm #874281Hi Rikard, now it is happening constantly when I try to edit the homepage.
Perhaps now you will be able to see the error on your end.
Thanks againNovember 9, 2017 at 4:43 am #874375Hi,
Thanks for the feedback, though I’m still not able to reproduce it. Are you sure it’s not your internet connection? Maybe you could try to reset all routers and modems in your network?
Best regards,
RikardNovember 9, 2017 at 12:54 pm #874628I’ve tried that too… but I don’t believe that’s the case because:
1. The error only appears on my website (all the rest is fine in browsing the internet)
2. I tested with my 4G and got the problem as well.
3. I deactivated the theme temporarily and did not get the error…I will try to make a video to show it to you…
November 9, 2017 at 1:42 pm #874640Hi Rikard! Now I believe it will be more clear… I’ve made a video explaining exactly the problem I am having.
Perhaps this will help you discovering what the problem is… thanks again for all the support.
Here is the video: https://youtu.be/AGEka7xFwyoNovember 10, 2017 at 6:17 am #875004Hi,
Thanks for the video, I’m not sure why you try to update the page before the builder has finished loading though? That is likely why that is happening, if the builder doesn’t load then please try to reload the page and wait for it to load first, then you can update the page. Could you try that out?
Best regards,
RikardNovember 10, 2017 at 3:18 pm #875180Hi Rikard, thanks once again for the response.
But it doesn’t work either… I’ve made a new video to show you that…Any other ideas come to mind? As I said, I am in the middle of a process of selling my Online Coaching Program and every time I need to edit something I go through this pain… Your support you be enormously appreciated. I can’t keep working like this anymore…
November 10, 2017 at 9:09 pm #875376I believe I made some progress…
The error is only triggered through the homepage… In this video below, I show that I can easily navigate in other pages of the website, edit, preview…
But when I go the homepage, and the editor is loading… then it crashes!
So, perhaps, it is some specific element that it is causing it to crash (slider, color section, form…), or the page is just heavier and then it happens.
Here is the video:November 11, 2017 at 3:10 pm #875465Hi prbmachado,
Can you please check server log for error? Were you able to spot which video element is causing the crash? Could you please enable the Advanced Layout Builder debug mode . Here is how to do it: http://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/enable-advanced-layout-builder-debug/
Best regards,
VictoriaNovember 12, 2017 at 11:45 pm #875882Hi Victoria, thanks a lot for the reply!
I have successfully activated the debug mode and will work throughout the day tomorrow to see if the error occurs.
I wasn’t able to spot which element specifically was causing it to happen.
As for checking the server log for error, how can I do it?I have also copied the information in the Home Debug Mode if it helps you:
PLEASE USE PASTEBIN FOR LONG CODES.
November 15, 2017 at 4:41 am #876897Hi,
Does it occur when you view the page preview? That’s what I saw in the video but I can’t reproduce it. Maybe, it’s your connection? Did you try it on a different network or computer?
Best regards,
IsmaelNovember 17, 2017 at 3:30 pm #878118Hi Victoria, just to give a positive feedback.
After I activated the debug mode, the error never happened again.
Thank you so much! I had tried “everything” before but nothing had seemed to work… but you were the one able to solve my problem.
I don’t believe it will happen again. If it does, I will let you know…
Thanks to all other moderators for your efforts as well.
This is by far the best theme in Themeforest!

PauloNovember 17, 2017 at 6:08 pm #878225Hi Paulo,
Glad it is working for you now. Could be that the shortcode tree was rebuilt and should be fine now.
If you need further assistance please let us know.

VictoriaNovember 23, 2017 at 11:16 pm #880964Hi Victoria, unfortunately, the problem started happening again…
Would you be so kind in pointing me towards some direction?
I am running WordPress 4.9, but it also happened in 4.8.November 23, 2017 at 11:17 pm #880965Here is the code I have in Debug Mode:
PLEASE USE PASTEBIN FOR LONG CODES
November 24, 2017 at 6:23 am #881072Hi,
How do you encounter the issue? Could you provide a step by step instruction? Or create a list of the things that you’re doing prior to encountering the issue. I don’t think Victoria changed anything based on her previous replies. Did you try it on a different network?
Best regards,
IsmaelDecember 1, 2017 at 12:48 pm #883864Hi Ismael, thanks for jumping in… that was precisely my very first topic of this thread.

netsh winsock reset4. Changing PHP

December 4, 2017 at 4:31 am #884502Hi,
Thank you for the info.
I created a test page and added every elements that are available in the builder but I can’t reproduce the issue. I updated the page more than once.

IsmaelDecember 13, 2017 at 11:44 am #888270Hi, unfortunately the problem keeps happening and I can’t afford to be without to be able to edit my website.
I appreciate your efforts, but I will just go for another theme (after at least 6 years continuously).
Congratulations for the great product you have created.
Best regards,
