envato rip off

you are receiving this email because I have purchased an item from you either recently or in the past.

I’ve spent a LOT of money on the Envato market place but I’m leaving them and would like to know where else I may acquire your products and services on the internet?

I have had enough of their rip off system that always requires me to leave more money in their bank account than they deserve each time I make a purchase. They need to offer a system of direct payments that bills me EXACTLY what you charge, and that’s all. Instead they have two rip off options when I make a purchase: 1) pay an additional paypal fee of $2 or 2) overpay for more credits than I need to make a purchase.

Please let me know if there’s somewhere else on the internet that I can obtain your products and services.

ps: below is the letter I sent directly to the envato staff:

to whom it may concern:

I’ve enjoyed the Evnato marketplace and have spent a good deal of money with your company.

However, that’s all going to change as soon as I find another option given your payment options.

As you well know: your current system of “credits” makes it so that any time a purchase is made you are constantly left with more money in your bank account than you deserve since our only two choices are 1) pay a rip off handling fee if we choose to pay directly with paypal or 2) pay far more than the item we need via adding credits to our account.

I spent ENORMOUS amounts of money with istockphoto.com when they had this type of a system , but as soon as i discovered other resources I left and I haven’t spent even a penny with them in more than 4 years.

That’s about to happen with your company as well. I will continue to buy only what is absolutely necessary (i.e.: items I can find nowhere else) until you change your system to STOP RIPPING ME OFF each time I make a purchase.

It’s time to change to a system that bills me EXACTLY what the items cost. Period.

GET YOUR OWN IN HOUSE CREDIT CARD PROCESSING OR REMOVE THE ADDITIONAL PAYPAL FEE

(and why do you even bother with paypal anyway? do you not see how many millions of people HATE paypal around the world?)
