Tagged: custom taxonomy
Hi –
I’ve created a very simply blog page using the Layout Builder and added it to the menu of my site. On the blog page, I’ve told the Avia Blog Posts widget to use a custom taxonomy for 2 of my 12 post categories. That page displays fine. However, when I view a post and the “next” “previous” buttons appear, next previous displays ALL posts, regardless of category. How do I enforce the custom taxonomy in the next previous buttons?
FYI, my site is https://www.pivotpoint.pro.
Thanks in advance for your help!
Hey jbinmn,
Yes, when you’re in a post, the settings you made in the Advanced Layout Builder for the blog page do not affect the basic WordPress functionality of navigating through posts.
Here is a thread for you to consider

Thanks for the help. I’ve looked at the article you suggest but I’m not using a child theme. When I activate the enfold child theme, to try to take advantage of this code, my site goes wonky. So, 2 questions:
1. can i put the code from the article you link in functions.php? I know it would be replaced whenever Enfold is updated.
2. Any idea why I can’t turn on the Enfold child theme without goofing up my entire site?
Thanks for your help!
Hi jbinmn,
Can you please check the server log for the error, when you activate the child theme. Or describe what do you mean by “my site goes wonky”. This should not be hapenning.
Best regards,
Victoria
