I have several websites with WPML and Enfold on different hosts and different other plugins, but I have the same problem everywhere (with translated pages, exactly the same problem)! The translated pages changed and are now rendered wrongly, particularly the so called “color sections”, and “white spaces”, and everything under a “color section” is wrongly displayed.
For instance this is the original language page: http://www.arhiv-beograda.org/holokaust/
and this is translated page that supposed to look the same: http://www.arhiv-beograda.org/holokaust/?lang=en
(note that everything under the “color section” is wrong).Another example:
This is the original page: http://www.arhiv-beograda.org/holokaust/o-projektu/
and this is a translated page: http://www.arhiv-beograda.org/holokaust/about-the-project-escalating-into-holocaust/?lang=en
Note that I didn’t even touch this page or changed anything since I created it long time ago – when it was displayed fine. Since recent updates of Enfold and WPML I found that it is displayed wrong now. What I did on several of my websites is that I redesigned the translated pages in a way that I skip different kinds of Enfold elements that I noticed are displayed wrongly, and I can “kind-of” live with it as it is not really ugly. But I think that I should be able to use all the functionalities of my theme. This is also extremely time-consuming. I been using WPML and Enfold for a long time precisely because I trusted that it works well together. This is a huge disappointment.
March 12, 2017 at 12:03 am #759503Hey Misko!
Thank you very much for reporting that.
We do know that WPML team, is working hard to keep compatibily so can we ask if you have made the same ticket with them?
Have they replied you at all?Regards,
BasilisMarch 12, 2017 at 12:12 am #759505I know that people in the WPML are
very serious about keeping it compatible with the most popular WP themes, and their support is very professional. Yes, I did send the similar ticket to them, too. I didn’t get any response yet. But I think that it is important that you at Enfold are aware of this. Also, I would like to skip being sent from one support to the other, so I asked both :) I will keep you informed about what I learned from WPML people, but I also expect that you might have some ideas or advices?- This reply was modified 7 years, 9 months ago by Misko.
March 16, 2017 at 4:13 pm #762032Hey!
They are not the same because there is no “color section” markup in the translated pages. The page markup is completely wrong but I’m not sure why it happened in your installation. Could you please provide the login details? We would like to re-create the translated pages.

IsmaelMarch 16, 2017 at 4:50 pm #762059Hi Ismael, thank you for your response. This happened on several of my websites run on different servers (providers) all run with Enfold and WPML latest versions, and the latest WP. (These different websites even use different other plugins, so except for Enfold and WPML they are not simple copies of the same setting).
The strangest part is that the translated pages used to be fine, but after the update (I am not sure – WP, Enfold, WPML – all were updated in the meantime), as soon as I saved any changes on the website, the corresponding translated page would get this error.
I think that the WPML is translating parts of the code it shouldn’t, or something like that… But as I said, I never changed any settings in the meantime, it just “turned bad”.

MiskoMarch 18, 2017 at 7:57 am #762835Hey!
Thank you for the update.
If you find any translated pages with this issue, please edit the page then move all elements or set of elements inside their own color sections. It will ensure that all elements are wrapped properly. We edited one of the pages with the issue.
Cheers!
IsmaelMarch 19, 2017 at 4:05 pm #763216Thank you Ismael!
This works, but it is just a temporary “workaround”, as there are elements that can not be moved into color sections, such as e.g. a fullwidth slider and the new “tab element”.I did this for this page: http://www.arhiv-beograda.org/holokaust/?lang=en
but the tab section has wrongly displayed margins around the titles and the text – and as you know – I can not put the tab section inside the color section. (compare the Serbian and English versions of this page tab section under “The Outcomes”)But thank you very much for your help!
I am working with the guys from the WPML support at the moment, and I hope that there will be a long-term solution for this. Of course I will share it with you here.best,

MikeApril 20, 2017 at 8:59 pm #780769Hi everybody,
thank you very much for the research until now. I read also the ticket in the WPML-Support Forum https://wpml.org/forums/topic/several-wpml-sites-with-enfold-theme-with-big-problems-with-translated-pages/page/2/
I have a similar problem with the translated page in WPML (for some reason content is wrapped in color section) and cant wrap all the elements in a separate color section because there is a fullwidth-Button and a fully stretched mansonry-gallery.
here is a example page:
Main-Language-Page (German):Translated Page (englisch): https://www.ec4u.com/en/industries/financial-services/
It also effects the footer-look. Alle is wrapped/contained.
At the moment i cant login into WPML-Forum, so hopefully you keep us updated here.
Beste regards
RubenApril 27, 2017 at 6:41 am #783811Hi,
The theme actually wraps every elements inside a generic color section or container automatically even if they are not inside a color section in the builder. Unfortunately, this causes layout issues because a bug in the script tends to close the container even if it’s not necessary. Intentionally wrapping every elements or group of elements in a color section somehow fixes this layout issue. You can ignore elements such as the full width button but try to wrap all elements or group of elements inside a color section as much as possible.

IsmaelApril 30, 2017 at 1:40 pm #785230Hi!
With all due respect, but when you say “..bug in the script tends to..” , “..wrapping in a color section somehow fixes this..” , and “..do this as much as possible..” it sounds like you guys still do not really know what is (was?) the cause of this problem. I do “wrap everything in color sections as much as possible” but that is really not good enough. I have websites that I was working on for last 6 months or so and now I am really reluctant to update any content as it may (? usually it does) result in messed up design, lots of fixing and working just to make it “not being totally messed up” – but not in the way it used to be and not as I originally designed it. The guys at the WPML looked for the problem and their verdict is that it was a result of an “older versions of their plugin in combination with a particular version of Enfold”.
But what now – when we know (do we?) the cause of the problem? How to really fix it? For us users it is not important is it Enfold or the WPML who should come up with a fix – but guys, please, we need it.May 1, 2017 at 8:03 pm #785953Hi,
WPML team has contacted us and they do have all the informations required to work the things out.
I am sure we will have something as soon as possible, but it is not something we can do a lot from our side, to be honest.
For example, different other plugins ( PolyLang ) works just fine, so we are not sure on how we can debug every 3rd party plugin. We appreciate the patience although as we work things out
Best regards,
BasilisMay 2, 2017 at 1:16 am #786057I appreciate your efforts, and as an old user of Enfold I have trust in your devoted professionalism. That is the reason I chose Enfold to work with on my websites. Also, I understand that it is a complex task to be up to date and 100% compatible with the variety of all different plugins. It is all clear, and I am confident that you will find the way to fix it this way or the other. I am certain that you are doing as much as you can.
Still, it would be great if you could give us some updates about the status of the problem and the latest development – for instance that the WPML team has contacted you
and that from your point of view it is their task to come up with the fix, and that you are not working on it. Then we, the users, can focus our efforts to help the WPML team in their work on the solution.- This reply was modified 7 years, 7 months ago by Misko.

Yes, unfortunately, that’s correct. The issue is quite intermittent and it doesn’t really happen on every installation. We have reported the issue to Kriesi. Please wait for his response.

IsmaelMay 22, 2017 at 2:30 pm #797657Hi everybody,
will there be a solution for this problem in the near future? After a WPML and Enfold Update this issue still exists on my page.
EC4U Financial Services (english translations of german original)Thanks for the support and a short update!

RubenMay 25, 2017 at 1:31 am #799295Hi,
@Ruben: We haven’t found a fix yet but it’s still under investigation. We found out that certain elements or containers are being closed unnecessarily or earlier than necessary. One way to fix it is by moving all elements or set of elements inside their own color sections. Have you tried that? Or add the following script in the functions.php file.
// https://kriesi.at/support/topic/responsive-is-not-working-when-delete-some-cell/#post-797402
We’ll give you an update once the issue is fixed.

@Misko: Could you please provide an access to the site’s database? We would like to check some of the entries related to the builder.
Cheers!
IsmaelNovember 17, 2017 at 2:57 pm #878085Hi! This was a long time ago, I missed your question. Do you still need access to my site?
November 17, 2017 at 5:59 pm #878222Hi Misko,
If you still need our help, then yes, we still need access to your website.

Thank you for the info. Where can we reproduce the issue? The translated pages above looks fine.
Best regards,
IsmaelNovember 21, 2017 at 1:08 pm #879707Hi, the translated pages looks fine because I reduced the design to the minimum. Otherwise I had different color sections on different parts of it, but when the bug (?) appeared I had to simplify everything to make it look ok.
I was trying to re-implement color sections on this page http://ester.rs/en/introduction/ and I managed to create one color section, but the other color sections I couldn’t create because of the problem I described in my earlier post. (not able to click “save”) I mean – I could “create it”in the editor, but could not save it.

MiskoNovember 22, 2017 at 5:45 am #880057Hi,
Thank you for the update. I re-created the “intro” page in a test page (see private field) and added a few color sections but I can’t reproduce the issue. The “update” button takes a while to load because it’s processing the content, which is quite long, but it’s working properly. Did you test this on another computer or network?
Best regards,
IsmaelNovember 22, 2017 at 1:06 pm #880229Hi,
I played some more with the page http://ester.rs/en/introduction/ and managed to add another color section and then the old main problem appeared again – the color section “spread” over the rest of the page. Please see the section “3. Remembrance” – I added color section around it, but it “spread” further over the section “4. Teaching and learning about the Holocaust” and the social media buttons in the bottom of the page. It is not what it suppose to do. So the old problem, the main problem, is still there. I will leave it like this so you can examine it.best,
MiskoNovember 27, 2017 at 3:59 am #882078Hi,
I don’t see any issue with the page. Please use the color section to separate certain areas in the page. Make sure that the column or set of columns are inside their own color sections. We added a few color sections to separate the column sets.
Best regards,
IsmaelNovember 27, 2017 at 12:46 pm #882191It is strange. It didn’t look like that when I left it last time. The color section at the bottom of the page was not “ending” where it supposed to, but instead stretching all the way to the very bottom of the page. But now it is ok.
On the other hand, there is still a problem with the paddings between the elements/blocks inside the color section. This problem was typical for the original issue this topic was started about.
http://ester.rs/1.jpg
Note the way too smal space between the blocks. It is not like that on the rest of the page.http://ester.rs/2.jpg
All looks normal on the other side…- This reply was modified 7 years ago by Misko.

We moved the 4th section in a new color section that’s why it’s separated to the 3rd section now. Use the “Separator/whitspace” element to create space between the columns.
