enfold wpml image alt attribute title attribute

Hi
I’m using a child theme of enfold and wpml (all newest versions); languages shown as directories. Having installed wpml I translated all my pages and posts and then – under “Media” – added the needed translations of the images alt and title attributes. But on a non-german page the attributes are still in german. Only when I’m inserting the images manually again into a translated page the attributes show themselves properly.
My question: Do I really have to insert the images manually into every translated page/post to get the correct language for alt and title attributes?
