I’ve been working on rebuilding my site that uses the Wishlist Member Plugin with Enfold. So there’s no way around using this plugin for me.
I’m very concerned to just have stumbled upon a support thread noting that the Enfold theme is not compatible with Wishlist. Is there any way around this? I really don’t want to scrap weeks worth of work and move on to a different theme.
Thanks,
-Tom
April 17, 2014 at 9:03 pm #252876Hey tbrim20!
There has been a conversation around this plugin see the following links :
https://kriesi.at/support/topic/wishlist-member-avia-framework/
https://kriesi.at/support/topic/issue-with-wishlist/Plugin author has been contacted by Dude ( Head of support ), no response so far. Suggestions : http://wordpress.org/plugins/s2member/ or http://wp-member.com/
Best regards,
DavidJanuary 5, 2015 at 9:39 pm #375347I would really like to get this working (I’m even willing to pay for it).
What is the latest news about this?
I just migrated some courses to enfold, and only after the migration did I notice that Wishlist Member didn’t work with Enfold.
If you can’t provide it, can you at least give me technical explanation of the problem and I’ll have a developer do a fix for me.
January 6, 2015 at 12:03 pm #375616Hi!
Please request compatibility here – https://kriesi.at/support/enfold-feature-requests/
Best regards,
YigitJanuary 6, 2015 at 8:01 pm #375818Here’s the latest about the issue that I heard from the Wishlist Member support:
————————
I followed up with the development team and they explained that the function that handles protection is function Process() located at wishlist-member/wpm.phpWe are hooking that function in the WordPress Filters like these:
add_filter(‘page_template’, array(&$WishListMemberInstance, ‘Process’));
add_filter(‘single_template’, array(&$WishListMemberInstance, ‘Process’));In the case of the “Advance Layout Editor” the page_template and single_template aren’t being called so our function process is not initiated.
The developer suggested if there is a filter on the theme that is being called similar to the WordPress page_template/single_template, you may be able to hook our function Process into that.
This falls into the category of customization and we are unable to offer hands on or in-depth assistance with customization. But we hope this helps to point you in the right direction.
————————I’ve also created a feature request called: “Wishlist Member compability” (messed up the spelling should be “compatibility” but can’t see how to change it :)).
January 7, 2015 at 6:32 pm #376314Hey!
From their description it sounds like it would work if you use the default editor and not the advanced layout editor. I would also consider checking out the s2member plugin.
Cheers!
ElliottJanuary 7, 2015 at 10:55 pm #3765131) Yes it works with the default editor, but then my site will not look good (there’s some full width issues!)
2) I’ve chosen Wishlist Member for all my membership sites for a reason. I like it better :). Switching one of them to s2member is not an option.
HOWEVER: I’ve had my developer create a plugin that fixes this issue.
If you’re interested in the plugin reach out to me here: http://retiremyass.com/contact/
January 8, 2015 at 6:19 pm #376983Hey!
Alrighty, you’ll probably get a lot of emails regarding this. If you’d like you can paste the plugin code here for other people to use. It sounds like it’s just some small code that needs to be added to the functions.php file.

ElliottFebruary 9, 2015 at 9:53 am #392910Can you please identify the hook that can be used . . .
In the case of the “Advance Layout Editor” the page_template and single_template aren’t being called so our function process is not initiated.
The developer suggested if there is a filter on the theme that is being called similar to the WordPress page_template/single_template, you may be able to hook our function Process into that.I can do the rest, but I am having a hard time locating the hook I need to use.

February 9, 2015 at 7:54 pm #393260Hey!
Try line 40 in /enfold/template-builder.php.
$content = apply_filters('avf_template_builder_content', $content);

But I still get the issue of the footer missing and the opps page not showing.
I confirmed on a friends Wishlist / Enfold site running the same current / to date versions as I am and without the use of the filter or turning off the layout builder her opps pages works fine and so does the footer.
I have re-installed both Wishlist and Enfold filed, cleared cache, switched form child to parent theme, turned off all my plugins, resaved my test members only page, and still not foote or opps page.
February 13, 2015 at 5:20 pm #395880Hi!
I’m not sure if we will be able to help you here but can you send us a link to your page? I checked the site in your screenshot but you were not using Enfold there.
Cheers!

March 16, 2015 at 3:59 pm #412244Hi!
I don’t think so. I asked hookedonweb for a copy of Wishlist for testing. I went ahead and sent you one.
Cheers!
ElliottMarch 19, 2015 at 12:23 pm #414321Look forward for Enfold rolling out a fix for this! I’ve been building a membership site with Enfold and was looking to use Wishlist Member due to recommendations.

ElliottMarch 21, 2015 at 4:46 am #415621Hi,
I got this message from Wishlist this morning:
Their email : (Email address hidden if logged out)
Hey there Dale
I spoke with the development team and they recalled some Enfold and WishList Member discussions from a while back (later 2013/early 2014 they believe).
At that time, one of our developers investigated an issue stated by one of our customers and found that when using the “Advance Layout Editor” to insert the content, the filters page_template or single_template are not being initialized. These filters which are standard to WordPress were being used by WishList Member to protect content.
They believe that they submitted a message through the contact form so perhaps it didn’t reach it’s destination.
I don’t believe we heard back at that time so we’re unsure if that is still the case. If the theme author gets in touch with us, our team can look into this further as well.
Thanks Dale
-Wray
Elliott I’ve also message you through your website.

March 23, 2015 at 5:03 pm #416469Hi!
Thanks checkwriteit. The plugin that rap provided here, https://kriesi.at/support/topic/enfold-wishlist-member-plugin/#post-376513, seems to work fine for me regarding the ALB visibility for members.
Are there any other issues anyone can see?
Cheers!

October 19, 2015 at 3:00 pm #520975Hi!
What filters fixes the problem hookedonweb? I can’t see the filters anymore. Or don’t they work anymore?
October 19, 2015 at 4:42 pm #521034The fix is no longer required. My theme and WLM are now working fine together after a recent update (not sure if it was the theme or WLM that fixed it).
October 20, 2015 at 4:28 am #521328October 20, 2015 at 9:53 am #521450Thanks for the quick response, but do you still know what the fix was?
I had it working on a testwebsite. Now I switched to a new website with the newest version of WishList Member, but I can’t find what the fix was. So I’m now using Woocommerce Memberships, but it’s way too limited.
Hope to hear from you!
Best regards,
Conny
October 21, 2015 at 7:28 pm #522451Hey!
@connepon
I think you should ask plugin’s author about this fix, as their was no theme update in the last days/weeks.Best regards,
Andy -
