    Hi,
as we don’t need the shop anymore, I just deactivated and deleted woocommerce plugin. I also deleted all the datas (150 GB of downloadable clips) inside the shop via the database of our hoster.
But now, the website is very, very slow. I checked with webpagetest.org and it says, that the server responding time is very long.
The hoster says, that the server responing time is about 200ms… but then, the server has to build the webpage with many javascripts and that takes very long.

So I updated WP, Enfold, deactivated ALL plugins and installed W3 Total Cache. Not really faster.

Is it possible, that Enfold is missing something on my webpage?
Or is there a tool, that “cleans up” Enfold theme?

    Thank you for your help!
    Peter

    Hi PeterPan2!

The server does not use javascript. Javascript is only executed on the client computer.

I checked your site and each page seems to be loading in around 14 seconds for me which is kind of slow. I didn’t see anything out of the ordinary so I’ll assume it is because of the server.

You can try installing a caching plugin such as WP Super cache and W3 total cache and a plugin such as BWP Minify for minifying the JS / CSS. The images could probably be optimized a bit more as well.

Other than that you will need to work with your hosting provider. Perhaps there is a better hosting plan you can upgrade to.

    Cheers!

    Hi Elliott,

thank you for your answer. I just wanted to be sure, that it is not a Theme issue combined with as my other WP website on the same hosting server runs fast.
I already tried W3 total cache without any success but I will continue trying other plug ins. Thanks.
