Hi,
I just tried to update to Enfold 4.1 through my WordPress site and right after trying to do so my site basically crashed and displayed a message saying:
“Briefly unavailable for scheduled maintenance. Check back in a minute.”
I found similar threads on your support forum and instructions to delete the “.maintenance” file and proceeded to do so. After I deleted the .maintenance file via my FileZilla FTP client and tried to reload my site it still wouldn’t work and displayed an error message:
“This page isn’t working
wideawakeenergy.com is currently unable to handle this request.
HTTP ERROR 500”I just added a bunch of content to my site prior to attempting the update so this is really disappointing and I really hope none of my updates are lost. I use GoDaddy to host my site.
Please help.
Thank you,

Can you please check server log for error?
Best regards,
VictoriaNovember 29, 2017 at 9:18 pm #883189Hi Victoria,
How do I check the server log for error? Can I provide any login credentials you may need to check it for yourself? When I tried to go to wideawakeenergy.com it still shows:
“This page isn’t working
http://www.wideawakeenergy.com is currently unable to handle this request.
HTTP ERROR 500”Please let me know how we should proceed.
Thank you,
HaronNovember 30, 2017 at 2:57 am #883275Hi again Victoria,
So I figured out how to check my cPanel server error log (I logged in to cPanel, went to Metrics > Errors). The error log is blank and not showing anything there. I’m not sure what to do now.
Please let me know how to proceed.
Thanks,

It seems like some theme files were not updated correctly. I re-updated the theme via FTP and that helped. Please review your website :)
