I am currently using the Enfold Theme Version Number 3.5.2. I do not have any record of having purchased the Enfold theme as I believe the Original Website Developer must have purchased it.
Do I need to purchase the current version to be able to upgrade to the current version.
Do you foresee any issues upgrading from 3.5.2 to current version.
I am currently having issues with the Avia Layout Builder not loading. I have tried a number of things based on similar issues on your support page.

Your Enfold version is not compatible with WordPress version you are using. In your case, yes, you would need to purchase a new license – https://themeforest.net/item/enfold-responsive-multipurpose-theme/4519990 to update the theme. Since you are using a very old version, you would need to update via FTP – https://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/theme-update/#update-via-ftp. Then you can refer to this post – https://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/theme-registration/#how-to-generate-a-envato-personal-token and generate a Personal Token to insert in Enfold theme options to receive future updates in WP dashboard.
You should not experience any issues but you might need to re-configure some settings such as header and widget areas. To be on the safe side, please create a testing environment and update the theme there :)
