    We run over a hundred sites using Enfold so are doing updates on a regular basis. However, it seems that on regular occasion, it takes several tries/refreshes of the update screen for the latest update to be shown as available. Sometimes the update is never shown at all, despite refreshing/force checking several times. I often have to revert to uploading via FTP. The sites are running on the same server so it’s not an issue there. Can you please help shed any light?

    Could you post login details in private to a site which has this problem so that we can have a closer look at it please?

    Hi Amanda,

    Thanks for the details. I get a 403 error on the login page, but it doesn’t matter since we would like to view a site which hasn’t been updated, so that we can see the actual problem. Could you provide details a site like that instead please?

    I still get a 403 error on the login page:

    ERROR 403 – Forbidden!
    The following error occurred:
    You are not permitted to access the requested URL.

    Please contact the webmaster with any queries.

    Are you blocking country IPs maybe? If so then please lift that ban or let us know which country ranges are allowed to access the login page.

    I have a dynamic IP, and so do everyone else on the team as far as I know. But if you could unblock the counties in private then we should be able to access your site.

    Thanks for that, I’m able to login now. I can’t see the update notification either, and manually checking does nothing. Maybe your security plugin is blocking the call, what happens if you disable that and check manually?

    Hi Rikard,

    We have the same security plugins (iThemes & Sucuri) on over a hundred sites that show the updates just fine. I temporarily disabled to check but the update still did not show.

    Hi,

    Thanks for the update and clarification. Are all those sites using Enfold and on the same hosting? If so then there must be something different with the site which is not working. The code for the theme is the same, so that can basically be ruled out. What remains would be plugins which could be causing conflicts, or some kind of server setting which is blocking the update to come through. Did you try reaching out to your hosting provider about the problem? The might be able to see something in the server logs for example.
