    Good morning,

Since yesterday I’ve been trying to update the theme of Enfold from 4.6.3.1 to 5.2.1, but every time it gives an error message (An error occurred while updating Enfold: Could not copy file. enfold/lang/es_ES.).

We need to update the theme to the new version so that the video on the homepage can be used as a fullwidth video slider, because now there are black blocks next to it.

    Hopefully you can help me.
    Thanks in advance!

    Hey Leonie,

Could you try to update via FTP instead? https://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/install-enfold-theme/#ftp-install

    Best regards,
    Rikard

    Hi Rikard,

It is true that 4.6.3.1 is not the most actual version, right?
And how do I know if my token if my Envato token is working?Shoud it update my theme directly or does it take a while?

    Hi,

Yes, 5.2.1 is the latest version. If the updates are not coming through via the theme backend, then please try to install and configure this plugin: https://envato.com/market-plugin/

    Best regards,
    Rikard

    Hi Rikard,

Well I have updated my Enfold to the newest version.
Now i’m running into a new problem.
I have a fullwidth easy slider on my homepage of our website.
But the video is not fullscreen, there are black boxes on both sides.
The video has 1920×1080 px (16:9).
I changed several settings but i don’t see anything changing….

    Could you help me out?

    Cheers, Leonie

    Hi,

It doesn’t seem to be possible to edit your front page, as the server is returning a 500 internal server error. Could you share server error logs with us please? You could also try to enable debug mode, and try to move the shortcodes to a new page: https://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/intro-to-advanced-layout-builder/#debug-mode

    Best regards,
    Rikard

    Hi Rikard,

I contacted the company where my website is hosted.
He was saying that the WP Memory limit was too low and he got this error:
[Tue Jan 10 08:55:30.906775 2023] [proxy_fcgi:error] [pid 5534:tid 140605669594880] [client 188.207.216.106:47932] AH01071: Got error ‘PHP message: PHP Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 41943040 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 20480 bytes) in /home/qconcepts/domains/aeronamics.com/public_html/wp-content/plugins/woocommerce/src/Internal/DataStores/Orders/OrdersTableDataStore.php on line 546PHP message: PHP Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 41943040 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 20480 bytes) in /home/qconcepts/domains/aeronamics.com/public_html/wp-includes/plugin.php on line 173’

    He solved this bij addid the following code to WP-config.php;
    define( ‘WP_MEMORY_LIMIT’, ‘256M’ );

However, now my video is still not running. Could you have a look to my website please? I don’t know what to do right now.

    Thanks, Leonie

    So now

    Hi,

Thanks for the update. I tried adding your video on a test site, and it seems to be working as it should there, please see private. Note that you will have to click on the slider in order for it to play with your current configuration. You can enable auto-play in the element options for example, if you want it to play automatically.

    Best regards,
    Rikard

    Hi Rikard,

Could you please check at my website what I do wrong?
Because at my website it isn’t running at the moment….
    Don’t know what I do wrong…

    Cheers, Leonie

    Hi,

I created a test page on your site for you, maybe you could use that as a reference? Please see private.

    Best regards,
    Rikard

    Hi Rikard,

Thanks it is working now :) :) Really happy with the result!
On my mobile phone, the video is not loading.
Do you have any suggestions how we can get the video working over there?

    Cheers, Leonie

    #1378613

    Hi,

Autoplay videos are not supported on all mobile formats, that’s why it’s disabled on mobile. You might want to use the regular Video element on mobile instead, then hide it for larger screen resolutions in the element options.

    Best regards,
    Rikard

    Hi Mariann_m,

    Please refer to this: https://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/theme-registration/

If the updates should still not come through via the theme after that, then try to install and configure this plugin: https://envato.com/market-plugin/

    Best regards,
    Rikard

    Hi again Rikard,

Thank you. I have done all that however, the API key does not seem to match. I have even bought a new liscense.
I have used: Master2023 with its api kode… but still nothing

    This is what is says:
The OAuth Personal Token could not be verified. Please check that the Token has been entered correctly and has the minimum required permissions.

    Dismiss this notice.
    Additional Error Details:

    Hi,

    @Mariann_m
Please note that you are using v4.7.4 which uses the API that Envato doesn’t support anymore, also as I recall there was another error in that version.
To update your version of Enfold you will need to download the latest installable WP version from your Theme Forest account and upload it to your WordPress ▸ Appearance ▸ Themes ▸ Add Themes ▸ Add New
    WordPress_Appearance_Themes_Add-Themes_Add-New.jpg
after you choose the zip file and click install, you will see a This theme is already installed message because you are updating, you can continue
    Installing_theme_from_uploaded_file_This_theme_is_already_installed.jpg
then you will see the Theme updated successfully message.

    Best regards,
    Mike

Thank you Mike. I tried that too :)

This is how far I got:

Installing theme from uploaded file: themeforest-1oe9fCcg-enfold-responsive-multipurpose-theme.zip
    Unpacking the package…

    Installing the theme…

The package could not be installed. The theme is missing the style.css stylesheet.

    Theme installation failed.

    #1378757

    Hi,
That is because the zip file you tried was not the installable WP version from your Theme Forest account, it was the full zip with the documentation.
Please check again carefully there are two download links, you want the installable WP version
If you did check carefully and you still get this error then your web server doesn’t have the PHP ZipArchive Extension activated, you will need to ask your web host to activate this so WordPress can extract the zip file.

    Best regards,
    Mike

    #1378789

Thanks again Mike. I have tried both the zip files that are downloadable, and still get the same error. I do not see where there is another Zip to be downloaded.
I will check with the web hosts

    Hi,
If that doesn’t help please open a new thread with the url to the page in question and an admin login so we can be of more assistance. Since this is not your thread posting your login here will not be private.

    Best regards,
    Mike
