We use Enfold for various websites and have repeatedly the problem that it does not update to the newest version. Even if I press “Check Manually” it says “No Updates available. You are running the latest version! (4.7.2)” or even “No Updates available. You are running the latest version! (4.6.3.1)”.
I am aware how to update manually but I wander why it does not work automatically. Do you have any idea?
March 13, 2020 at 3:35 am #1192816Hey Ralf,
Sorry for the problem. Please send us a temporary WordPress admin login and login URL to one or both of your sites so that we can have a closer look. You can post the details in the Private Content section of your reply.
Best regards,
RikardMarch 20, 2020 at 2:12 pm #1194796I cloned the whole system and there you can examine that issue too.
March 21, 2020 at 4:50 am #1194997Hi,
Thanks for that. I don’t see any update notifications either unfortunately. I see that you have two Enfold installations, what happens if you delete one of them? Also make sure that the remaining folder is only called enfold, nothing more and nothing less :-)
If that doesn’t help then please include FTP login details in private as well.
Best regards,
RikardMarch 21, 2020 at 8:50 am #1195029The other installation was just a backup folder. I deleted it now – didn’t change anything.
March 22, 2020 at 5:10 am #1195175Hi,
Thanks for that. I can’t see any obvious reason as to why the automatic updates should not work. It could be caching or security though, what happens if you disable the plugins you have active which are related to that?
Best regards,
RikardMarch 22, 2020 at 7:36 am #1195198After deactivating all plugins, the “Update Available!” message is shown for Enfold. So far so good. But the weird thing is:
I restored the old version of the whole installation (via Updraft) again. It’s the version that I exported from the original site before (Mar 19, 2020 16:14), so in theory, the website should be the exact same as before, let’s say the original clone, with all plugins activated.
Enfold shows there immediately “Update Available!” which it didn’t before, as you know (and which it still does not for the original website, by the way).
I suppose the update issue has nothing to do with the other plugins but somehow with the update mechanism itself. I observed similar strange behavior many times before on various other websites in the last couple of months: Sometimes Enfold updates are indicated and sometimes they are not. Sometimes the button “Revalidate or remove the token” helped and sometimes it did not.
What do you think?
March 23, 2020 at 5:13 am #1195347Hi,
Thanks for the update. We appreciate the testing you are doing, but I’m not sure I have a good answer for you as to why it wasn’t working on your site. But does it work now that you deactivated and activated back the caching/security plugins? I couldn’t check myself since the login details are now working anymore. If it’s not working then you can try this plugin to see if you have any luck with it: https://envato.com/market-plugin/
Best regards,
RikardMarch 23, 2020 at 8:09 am #1195378Sorry, I forgot that by re-activating the “original clone” your user got lost. I added it again. So if you want to investigate that further, it should work. Meanwhile, I will check out this plugin (somewhere else, not on the test site). Thank you!

March 23, 2020 at 8:16 am #1195380I installed the Enfold Market Plugin on the original site and it says now:
Incorrect token permissions, please generate another token or fix the permissions on the existing token.
Please ensure only the following permissions are enabled:
View and search Envato sites
Download your purchased items
List purchases you’ve made
Diese Meldung ausblenden.
Additional Error Details:
Found too many permissions on token..

[]Is that the cause for our update problem? How can I fix that?
March 23, 2020 at 10:34 am #1195406Hi,
Please create a new token, login to envato/themeforest.
Then go to this link: https://build.envato.com/create-token/
Check the permissions listed.
Hope this helps.Best regards,
