Hello
When I update my website to the latest version using FTP it stops the site from working and shows error code 500.
Why is that and how can I fix it?
Thanks
IainMarch 12, 2018 at 3:50 am #925315Same here. Had to roll back to v4.2 to “fix” it.

We apologize for the inconvenience, can you give us ftp access? so we can inspect it and try to debug. Just post it in Private Content.
Best regards,
NikkoMarch 12, 2018 at 1:05 pm #925489Hi Support
It seems lots of people are having this issue with the latest version of the Enfold theme!? I have reverted my website back to the previous version for now so that you guys can answer another more important issue I am having.
If you download the new Enfold theme files yourself and install them in WordPress you will see that an Error 500 is displayed and the whole website does not show. This is quite urgent as many people are having the same issue. Do you not test the new theme downloads before making them available to paying customers? Should someone who looks after the issuing of new versions be looking at this as a matter of urgency?
March 12, 2018 at 1:53 pm #925508Hi!
Sorry for the inconvenience. Please upgrade PHP version to minimum 5.6 or replace /wp-content/themes/enfold/header.php file with this one – https://www.dropbox.com/s/r389b5x4ippscyn/header.php?dl=0 to bring up backwards compatibility with older PHP versions. Please also see – https://kinsta.com/blog/php-7-hhvm-benchmarks/
If that still does not work, please remove enfold parent theme via FTP and then re-install to make sure all files are updated.
Cheers!
