Hi,
My website with Enfold theme is stuck on the loading screen. Cannot get it past the loading whatever I do. Already tried disabling all plugins and the page preloading itself. Without succes.
How can I resolve this issue?
October 6, 2016 at 6:15 am #695857Hey pimmesz,
Do you mean on the front- or back-end? Please send us a temporary admin login and login URL so that we can have a closer look. You can post the details in the Private Content section of your reply.
Thanks,

On the front end! The back-end is working just fine.
Thank you!
PimOctober 7, 2016 at 1:24 pm #696462Hi,
You are using an old version of the theme. Please go to Enfold > Theme Updates > and update the theme to the latest version 3.8 it should resolve the issue for you.

October 7, 2016 at 2:00 pm #696493Hi!
Your pages cannot be found and your homepage is empty. That is why preloading icon is being displayed at the moment. Please try flushing permalink settings in Settings > Permalinks – https://codex.wordpress.org/Using_Permalinks
Cheers!
YigitOctober 7, 2016 at 2:54 pm #696525Hi Yigit,
I’ve flushed the permalinks a few times. When they’re reset to the standard setting I can view all my pages except for the Homepage. I have also set the Homepage as the selected static homepage but it still does not show. Whenever I change the permalinks to something different they do not show up anymore.

October 11, 2016 at 6:00 am #697623Hi,
Thanks, working now. Could you try deactivating all plugins to see if one of them is causing a conflict please?

PimOctober 16, 2016 at 5:49 am #699452Hi,
It’s using a very old version of the theme, 3.5.4. Please upgrade to version 3.8, which is compatible with WordPress 4.6.1.

Can you please try updating the theme via FTP manually and overwrite all files – kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/updating-your-theme-files/?

October 27, 2016 at 12:22 am #704601Hi,
I have duplicated your homepage and removed the layerslider and it worked properly (link to the page is on private content). Go to LayerSlider WP and you should find this warning:
Server configuration issues detected!
phpQuery, an external library in LayerSlider, have unmet dependencies. It requires PHP5 with the following extensions installed: PHP DOM extension, PHP Multibyte String extension. Please contact with your hosting provider to resolve these dependencies, as it will likely prevent LayerSlider from functioning properly. This issue could result a blank page in slider builder.
Can you try to request it with your hosting provider, if the requirements are met then you should be able to use it properly without having problems, for the meantime you might want to use other sliders available.
Best regards,

November 2, 2016 at 12:26 pm #707068Hi,
I’ve received the following from my webhoster:
Hey,
Thanks for the follow up. It looks like you are running php7. In this case, your php version is higher than what the application requires. Check with the plugin developers to see if they have any updates for php 7 support, or you may need to consider downgrading the php environment for this single plugin.
November 2, 2016 at 8:42 pm #707337Hi,
As per the info on the LayerSlider website it should work fine with php7 http://docs.offlajn.com/layer-slider/23-first-steps/91-requirements
Every site is setup up in a differnt way and uses different settings and in some cases this may cause a conflict. Please try downgrading the php version and see if that works.

VinayNovember 4, 2016 at 1:59 pm #708172Hi,
It seems like the installation of PHP multibyte string extension and PHP Multibyte String fixed the problem. However now the website is shown boxed in the settings it is set to full-width?

PimNovember 7, 2016 at 7:09 am #709042Hi,
Looks like it’s not using the correct template or file (template-builder.php). Is it working if you downgrade PHP or deactivate the plugins? We will ask Kriesi to check the thread.

IsmaelNovember 7, 2016 at 12:25 pm #709133Hi,
I’ve tried downgrading PHP but my website crashes when I downgrade. Deactivated all plugins without a noticeable result.
