    Hi there,
This may be a question already answered but: I am using the CHild Theme.
IF we do a theme update – what will be lost/and or what should be backedup?
the custom css? and the css file?

Just wondering, I am a bit afraid of doing doing this as I cannot afford any downtime?
Or if there is anyone out there that is familiar with this and can help for a fee?

    Thanks

    Hi,

Which version of the theme are you using? Also, have you made any changes on enfold/header.php and enfold/includes/helper-main-menu.php files on your child theme? If not, you can update the theme – http://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/updating-your-theme-files/.
To be on the safe side, you can create a testing environment and update the theme there – http://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/move-from-a-local-installation-to-a-live-server/

    Cheers!

I have not made any changes to that its mainly CSS + the custom css part within. That’s about it for changes. Mostly its all CSS based.

I am using Enfold: Your current Parent Theme (Enfold) Version Number is 3.8.3

I just want to be sure I can’t have any downtime but I am now having issues wiht Woo Commerce because the them is not updated.
    Thanks,

    Hi,

I would recommend that you update a staging environment first to ensure that you don’t have any problems after the update. Then you could update the production site.

If you should need help with things like that I can recommend contacting a service like SteadyWP.

    Best regards,
    Rikard
