    If the updates should not come through via the theme backend, then please try to install and configure this plugin: https://envato.com/market-plugin/

    Thank you, my websoite person has been trying to get an update from the plugin and other methods and the only part they can see which will work for my website is inside the theme settings where it requests the below information:

    Your Themeforest User Name
    Your Themeforest API Key

    Please could you try locate these fo us?

    Hi Stan,

    Both Themeforest User Name and Themeforest API Key are found in the account you used to purchase Enfold.
    However, the use of API key for updating has already been removed by Themeforest as they are using tokens instead.
    Please follow Rikard’s recommendation of using the plugin https://envato.com/market-plugin/ then when asked for a personal token, you can generate one by following the instructions in our documentation: https://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/theme-registration/#how-to-generate-a-envato-personal-token

    Good morngin, I have heard back from web company,

    Unfortunately the plugin does not work, the sites theme has not been updated in a long time so the only option I have was the one mentioned before.
    We are really going to need a more hands on approach from the theme developers I believe because I’m not able to find any way to update the theme from our side.

    If you need help updating, then please include admin WordPress and FTP login details in private. Also verify that you have backups of your site.

    Hi Stan,

    Could you please post FTP logins here privately as well? Also, will you be able to upgrade PHP version after we update Enfold and WordPress? You are currently using 5.6 and we would recommend you to upgrade it to 8.x.

    Hi,

    Thanks for that. I see that you are running a very old version of WordPress. The current version of the theme is not compatible with that WordPress version, so it needs to be updated as well. I suggest that the first thing we should do is to update WordPress itself. I want to verify that you have backups of the site before we begin?

    Hi,

    Thanks for that. I tried creating a new folder in the /wp-content/themes/ folder, but it’s not allowing me to add a new folder. Could you reach out to your hosting provider and ask if they could grant that permission to the user account which you sent us please?

    I have since updated/reset the permissions of the folders which should in turn allow the developers to create and change any folders in the account..

    Hi Stan,

    Thanks for the information.

    We have updated Enfold to the latest version 5.1.1 and WordPress to 6.0.1.

    I do not see any issues on back and front end but to be on the safe side, please ask your hosting provider to upgrade PHP version and review your website :)
