    I had enfold for over a few years but a few weeks back I started to get this issue that wont allow me to build posts or pages anymore.

    When editing a post, it suddenly goes to a black screen with this message: ERR_CONNECTION_CLOSED

    When you look in the inspect section of chrome I see this:
    (index):6583 crbug/1173575, non-JS module files deprecated

    If I use another theme, the site works fine, but as soon as I activate enfold I get the error every time and 15 min after I can come back to work on it but I cant make progress.

    Already tried disabling all plugins and updating to the latest version of ENFOLD and latest of WordPress and still the same.

    Hope anyone can help me

    Hi Fabian,

    Please give us steps on how we can reproduce the error.
    Also, please provide us with your login credentials by following these steps:

    1. Install and activate the “Temporary Login Without Password” plugin. You can find it here.
    2. Once activated, navigate to “Users > Temporary Logins” in the left-side menu.
    3. Click on “Create New” to generate a temporary login.
    4. Enter the email address for the account (you can use (Email address hidden if logged out) ) and select the highest possible role. Set the expiry date to around four days to ensure enough time for debugging.
    5. Click “Submit” to create the temporary account.
    6. In the private section, provide us with the URL that allows us to access the temporary login and assist you.

    Please note that once your issue is resolved, you can remove the plugin. Alternatively, if you prefer not to use the plugin, you can manually create an admin user and share the login credentials in the “private data” field.

    If you have any further questions or concerns, please let us know.

    Thank you, the requested info is in the private content.

    Every time happens when I make edits in any post or page but particularly right now with the POST called PINOT NOIR FOOD ARTISANS attached link on the private too.. even I created a new page called the same and I got the same problem every single time I make an edit of a text or a photo, works for 30 seconds and I can update the content but then the connection breaks and I have to wait for 5 minutes and automatically it comes back,

    Thanks for this login and the link to your page, I tried editing the last text block element with the test text and saved, but I didn’t see any errors, I was using the Chrome browser on Windows, what are you using?
    I note that most all of your text blocks contain this strange code: <span data-sheets-value=”{” data-sheets-userformat=”{“> when you view the text blocks in the “text” tab:

    and on the frontend this code doesn’t seem to add anything useful:

    Did you know this code was added? Did you paste the text from somewhere else and the code from that source was added? I recommend removing the code and see if this solves your issue.

    Hello

    I don’t know why that code is there and don’t know how to take it away but we are still receiving a lot of issues on our site with this theme. Now its happening in almost all sites when editing anything after a few minutes it breaks the connection and got that error. You can try the post i mentioned in the private area, make a couple of edits and you’ll see what happens. Ill record a video for you too in a few minutes.

    IS there anything we can do? hope you can help us, we thought that updating the theme would solve that problem but still nothing.

    Hi,
    Thank you for the link to your site and the video, I tried to follow all of your steps in Windows in Chrome, Firefox, & Edge but I couldn’t recreate your errors. I also couldn’t determine the browser you are using in the video. But I didn’t find the strange code on this page, as above, so I’m not sure why you are experiencing this issue, have you tried a different browser with no addons?

    Me and my team has been using chrome only, on a PC and on a MAC and the error keeps repeating every single time. The only time it stops is if I deactivate the theme and use another one. I also tried with deactivating most of the plugins just in case and still the same thing. It seems to be related with galleries and images, when we make changes there it almost immediately breaks the connection.

    Any other ideas what could be causing the issue?

    Hi,
    Thanks for your feedback, on your /white-wine-weekend/ page I tried cloning your masonry gallery and added items to it, and removing items from it and I did lose the connection to the site. I see in your 301 Redirects plugin under the 404 report that /wp-admin/admin-ajax.php is listed as a 404 error, this is not normal but I’m not sure what could be the cause.
    I see in your Site Health Info some of your settings are low:

    Hi I did some of the updates and also increased and updated the version of the PHP and it broke some parts of the site, enfold logo is showing and lot of galleries and icons are missing.. I could try to bring it back to the 7.4 php but maybe this could be a reason why its failing?

    Site seems to be missing the main menu, galleries (white wine weekend and others) and more. The version of PHP I upgraded is 8.1 in case it helps. The rest of the info has been updated too as you requested. Hope you can help me out. I don’t know if I should reinstall the latest version of enfold or what to do. BTW.. site is running super fast so it seems like a good move.. now we just need to fix those issues.

    Hi,
    I see that you updated to PHP v8.1.24, but your PHP max input variables is still only 1k, try changing to 10k
    Your PHP time limit is only 30, which is lower than before, try changing to 300
    and your Max input time is only 60, try changing to 120

    Hi, im sorry to be a pest but we just did all the requested updates and still having a strong presence with the issue. I just spent 2 hours with Godaddy support to check DNS, servers and others he says that might be related with network issues but its strange because when I turn off Enfold theme.. all works just fine. The problem Im getting now is the same and now its happening when I do edits in the news page, any edit to the image mosaic and it breaks the site showing a black screen with this legend.. also when it comes back, the spinning wheel of the layout editor keeps going for hours.

    This site can’t be reachedavwines.com unexpectedly closed the connection.
    Try:

    Checking the connection
    Checking the proxy and the firewall
    Running Windows Network Diagnostics
    ERR_CONNECTION_CLOSED

    Hi,
    Unfortunately I’m not able to reproduce this issue on my server, although I don’t use “godaddy” so I’m not sure what it could be.
    I have not seen any other reports of issues like this so I must assume that it is a server issue.
    Since I can not reproduce the issue I can’t ask the Dev Team to investigate further, as they will need to be able to reproduce the issue.
    I’m not sure how to advise, other that trying another server.

    Hello Im still having issues with my site. I already tried 3 different browsers, 2 computers, 2 different countries, changing servers, checking DNS, and even changing IP provider.

    I really need a solution. I can not update my pages anymore.

    Temporary link is the same as before, I just activated it again.

    Please, try to make edits to the news & events page.. It breaks the connection every single time that Im using the builder and in the inspect, I can see that the error is related to avia builder or similar.

    Hi,
    Thank you for your patience, I tried editing your news & event pages in Windows with Chrome with a lan connection and didn’t experience any time outs, I also undid my changes.
    Are you using a wifi connection? I’m not sure how to advise on this since I can’t reproduce it.
    If you like I can ask the rest of the team to also try after the holidays to see if any of them can reproduce it.
