I noticed one of my websites wasn’t loading the sidebar in the Enfold Theme Options section. Thinking it was outdated theme files, I’ve installed the newest version of Enfold. However I’m still getting a blank sidebar which means I can’t access anything like General Settings, Advanced Settings, Footer, etc. Is there a fix for this? I use Enfold on a number of client sites and I’ve not seen this happen before.
Thanks for your help!
ErinSeptember 2, 2020 at 2:16 am #1242646Hey ESWEENEY113,
Can you try to install this plugin https://wordpress.org/plugins/enable-jquery-migrate-helper/ ? since WordPress 5.5 has been released there’s a lot of issues that shows up, the common issue is the removal of jQuery migrate which affects a lot of sites, and this was the fix WordPress made as a temporary solution.
Best regards,

September 2, 2020 at 6:54 pm #1242892I’m not sure if this is relevant to the thread however, we’re facing a similar issue. The website works just fine and all but the left navigation does not show anything. Here’s what I’ve done so far:
- Increase cache to 256M in wp-config
- Ran the debug and there are no errors generated
- Replaced the theme files in public_html/wp-content/themes/enfold with a manual download from themeforest
- Replaced the files in the child theme created under public_html/wp-content/themes – this results in an error (There has been a critical error on your website.)
- Disabled all plugins too and tried
Unfortunately, none of this has really worked and I’m wondering if I’m missing anything. I’ve supplied logins to the CMS. Please could you review and suggest if I’ve missed anything.

September 4, 2020 at 5:21 am #1243214Hi ESWEENEY113,
I have checked your site and it’s already 4.7.6.3, the warning you are seeing most likely is just fetched on some cached js files in the backend.
Just flush out any cache whether via plugin or built-in internal caching from the webhost, if it still shows try to clear the browser cache.Best regards,
NikkoSeptember 4, 2020 at 5:45 am #1243220Hi au_eadev,
I have checked your site and it seems to work properly and the Theme Options menu is showing properly.
Maybe it’s just a caching issue, please try to use another browser or if you are using Chrome, please use incognito mode.
Let us know if it helps.Best regards,
Nikko -
