    Hi guys!

    Suddenly, from one night to the next, I’m not able to access my WordPress-panel. The site is accessible and looks normal, but as soon as I add…/wp-admin then the browser goes white. No updates were made during the night.

    When I disabled the Enfold-folder via FTP, then I could access the WP-admin pages. When enabling the enfold theme folder again = white page of death.

    Any tips how to proceed?

    If the answer is to update Enfold – Is there a way that I can update Enfold without being able to access WP-panel.
    Can I upload the latest Enfold version via FTP without overwriting the custom CSS and settings I’ve done.

    Hey gorehalling,

    Updating/overwriting the theme file would a good first step, and yes, you can do so via FTP: http://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/updating-your-theme-files/. Make sure to keep a backup of site in case anything should go wrong during the update.

    So is this metod safe in terms of maintaining all the theme settings(Quick CSS etc.)

    Drag n’ dropped the enfold folder(downloaded from my Kriesi-downloads), but after that I couldn’t reach the site at all. Got a http 500 error.
    Moved back to the old backup’ed enfold folder again – and now we’re back at square one.

    Please help me on this!

    Which version of php are you running?

    Hi Victoria,

    I’m unsure of the php version.
    Below is the temporary admin access. I’ve renamed the enfold folder under themes to enfold_old so that you are able to even log in to the site.

    Hi Victoria,

    so I re-enabled enfold, and enabled debug mode by editing the wp_config.
    This is the message I get when I (with enfold enabled) try to access the …/wp_admin:

    Fatal error: Class ‘av_google_maps’ not found in /customers/7/1/5/homestories.se/httpd.www/wp-content/themes/enfold/framework/php/class-framework-widgets.php on line 1309

    I will leave Enfold activated on the site because the client need the site to be up and running.
    Please get back to me as soon as you have more info on how to proceed.

    Just read on the forum that updating Enfold seem to have been the fix for others when “Class ‘av_google_maps’ not found” is the error.
    But I have no way of updating Enfold since I can’t access WP-panel with Enfold activated. Just a thought.

    ensure you remove the enfold folder via FTP and then upload the new one, so as to not leave any old files behind.

    I’ve tried this and then I couldn’t even reach the site at all!

    I sorry – but I kind of fel like I’m just going round in circles, and not really getting any straight tips.

    And please – could someone answer my question for the last time. Will my Enfold-settings be untouched IF I update via FTP!!

    Hi,
    Yes your theme settings will be untouched updating via ftp.
    How about giving us ftp access in the Private Content area?

    I updated your theme and your site is back up and running, please delete the folder “enfold-old” in \wp-content\themes\ via FTP.

    Just that now the Instagram widget gives a:
    “Instagram has returned invalid data.” or “Instagram returned a 200”

    Hi,
    That is great news, as for Instagram they were having an issue with their API but you can try this solution or this solution basically you need to remove it clean the database as put in a new one.
