Hallo Support Team,

Do you mind creating a temporary admin login and posting it here privately so we can look into it?

YigitOctober 19, 2015 at 11:43 am #520832Hi,
I have attached the credentials and URL via Provate Content. beside the iPad issue there is one more regarding iPhone/Smartphone. When you load the page initially you can scroll vertically through the page and everything is fine. But once you open the menu and click on a menu item you’ve got an “design issue”. That means, you can scroll horizontally and you see the “hidden” menu at the top. I guess that this is not an option but a bug ;) And if you fix this it would be a good ideo to consider a “sticky minimalized header for mobile devices”, too.
Thanks and regards,
RainerOctober 19, 2015 at 12:05 pm #520846Hey!
Please try adding following code to Quick CSS in Enfold theme options under General Styling tab
#wrap_all { position: relative !important; }
Cheers!
YigitOctober 19, 2015 at 7:36 pm #521151Hi Yigit, thanks for your quick answer. It seems, that your custom CSS code fixes the iPhone “horizontal issue after clicking a menu item”. But the main problem “iPad browser crashing” is still there. Cheers, Rainer
October 19, 2015 at 8:45 pm #521184Hi!
Have you tried de-activating all active plugins and check if that helps? If not, please try to do so
Best regards,
YigitOctober 19, 2015 at 10:39 pm #521223Yes, but same procedure as before – the site crashes. And I guess that this could not be the issue, cause, as I’ve said, there is no issue on iPhone and desktop browser. I guess that there must be a problem reagarding the media query for tablets or something like that. Cheers, Rainer
October 19, 2015 at 10:40 pm #521224P.S. I mean media query and/or coding regarding tablet mode.
October 20, 2015 at 11:27 pm #522078Hi!
CSS should not crash the browser. I am guessing it is a JS issue and most probably a plugin related. Have you flushed browser cache and refresh your page a few times before trying to load it?
In the meantime, i will ask my teammates to check your website on their Ipads as i do not own an actual one. Please kindly wait to hear from them.Cheers!
YigitOctober 21, 2015 at 3:32 am #522110Hallo Rainer,
I checked the front page while logged in but it’s not crashing on my end using Ipad Mini/Chrome, what browser/Ipad version are you using? Or maybe this is happening on a particular page only?
Best regards,
RikardOctober 21, 2015 at 9:34 am #522202Hi Rikard, I am using an iPad Air with iOS 8.4.1. I’ve tested latest Safari and Chrome versions. As I’ve said, there are no issues on desktop and iPhone Browser. maybe iPad Mini is the same like iPhone. But the front page (and cause it’s an Onepager there are just 2 more pages with legal staff) crashes always. Your wedding demo crashes also on scrolling after a while, but not that fast as my page. Cheers, Rainer
October 21, 2015 at 10:02 am #522225Amendment: I’ve built and checked another demo Onepage with color sections and this site also crashes on iPad Air. So this is really a big issue and I can’t go live with this site. Hopefully you will find the coding error very soon. Thanks in advance and kind regards, Rainer
October 22, 2015 at 5:34 am #522727Hi Rainer,
I don’t have an ipad air myself but I’ve asked the rest of the team to take a look. It’s likely an issue with that particular machine, probably memory, if it works on all other platforms and even on other ipads.
Thanks,
RikardOctober 22, 2015 at 12:35 pm #522890Hi Rikard,
yes, I follow your assumption that the issue has something to do with the memory. I’ve tested it on an iPad 1 and 2 and the browser’s were crashing on both systems as well. But the site works OK on an iPad Air 2. But due to the fact that an iPad Air 1 is not a “device from the last century” it would be great to find a fix to make the site work. What I don’t understand is the fact, that the site works well on an iPhone 5 and 6 that I’ve tested.
Kind rgds, Rainer
October 23, 2015 at 6:08 am #523463Hi,
Ok, thanks for the info. A solution might be to make the site “lighter”, what I mean by that is optimising images (size, compression etc.) and maybe removing things you don’t absolutely need to show, we can help you out with using CSS if you should need it.
You could also try to use compression/minify plugins to see if you notice any improvements:
GZip Ninja Speed Compression:

BWP Minify:

RikardOctober 26, 2015 at 12:14 pm #524809Hi Rikard,
thanks for your engagement and offering support. Of course you are right, that eliminatiing most of the pics might bring the site working on an iPad Air. But the site is not that big, approx. 3 MB and as I have said, it’s working well on an iPhone 5/6 and also on an iPad Mini2 – I’ve tested it yesterday on a friend’s device. I guess the iPad Mini has not more RAM than an iPad Air.
Cheers, RainerOctober 27, 2015 at 5:11 am #525311Hi Rainer,
I checked the specs and yes, the have the same amount of ram, 1gb, but it seems to be different kinds of ram. Not sure if that is the difference causing the error though. There’s not much we can do about this from our end though, of course we want to the theme and the pages/posts they render to be as light as possible, but the end result is ultimately up to the user to create, and if a certain machine cannot handle that there’s not much we can do unfortunately.
Regards,
Rikard -
