Hi, we purchased the Enfold theme 3 or 4 years ago. I have been advised that we need to update the theme as every time WordPress does an update, the site keeps getting bugs. I have no records of who or when the theme was purchased as it was done before I joined the company. I am happy to repurchase the theme but if I do so, can you confirm that by doing so, the bugs will stop?

You are currently using an older version of the theme, 4.5.4 which is not compatible with your WordPress version. That is probably why you are having issues on your website. Updating the theme to the latest version would fix the issues.
To have access to the latest version of the theme, you would need to have access to ThemeForest account that was used to purchase the theme, or repurchase a license.
You can refer to this post – https://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/theme-update/ to update Enfold to the latest version 4.8.6.2.
Then, please generate a Personal Token by referring to this post – https://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/theme-registration/#how-to-generate-a-envato-personal-token and insert it in Enfold theme options to receive auto updates :)
