After the last updates we have some troubles with the enfold template:
> On the starting page of http://www.michelle-heimberg.ch is layout problem, the main menu isn’t on the top, there is one small bar before.
> On the login page http://www.michelle-heimberg.ch/wp-admin we get already the first error messages. We deleted the template and reinstalled it, but without success. WordPress and all plugins are up-to-date.
Thanks for your support.
April 8, 2017 at 11:05 am #774439Hey Daniel,
Did you try disabling all plugins to see if there is a conflict coming from any of them? If that is not the case then please send us a temporary admin login and login URL so that we can have a closer look. You can post the details in the Private Content section of your reply.
Best regards,
RikardApril 8, 2017 at 11:11 am #774444@dheimberg do you by chance have PHP 7 or 7.1 active? I ask because I have seen this three times in the last days and the error message ” session_start(): open(/nhldata/072/99072/tmp/phpsession/sess_a0983d269f11859c11ab89089c33777e, O_RDWR) failed: Permission denied (13)” sounds familiar to me. As a temporary fix you might return to PHP 5.6. Actually I had no time to debug the issue with my customers so I can’t be more of help right now.
April 9, 2017 at 10:41 am #774875April 10, 2017 at 8:35 am #775317@mensmaximus: Switch back to PHP 5.6 did not fixed the issue :-(
April 10, 2017 at 8:39 am #775319@dheimberg contact you hosting provider please. If PHP 7 and 5.6 can not write a session you most likely have a permission problem in the file system: Failed to write session data (files). Please verify that the current setting of session.save_path is correct (/nhldata/072/99072/tmp/phpsession) in Unknown on line 0
April 10, 2017 at 10:04 am #775349Hi, I tried to identify the failure:
> Switched backed PHP to version 5.6 … no changes, problem still available.
> Uninstalled enfold template, using default template > no problems, everything works ok.
> Installed enfold template again > problem is back, get again failure messages at login page. Thanks for your support. Daniel
April 10, 2017 at 10:13 am #775352@dheimberg that is wired. I manage and support many enfold/woocommerce installations and can’t confirm this to be a general issue. Well maybe the support-team has an idea.
April 12, 2017 at 3:43 pm #776722Hi,
There might be some corrupted files, so please delete all theme files completely via FTP, before installing a fresh copy from your themeforest account. Here is a short tutorial on how to install the theme via FTP, in case you are not sure how that works:
I noticed that you are using a caching plugin. Would you mind opening your plugin’s settings page and temporarily deactivate the caching of your site? Then please try to clear your browser cache and hard refresh the site (Hold CTRL + SHIFT + RELOAD) to see if that solves the issue.
Please deactivate all plugins one by one to check which one is causing this issue and let us know if this solves the problem.
In addition to that, please let us know if we are allowed to deactivate one or more of your plugins as well for testing purposes :)Best regards,
AndyApril 17, 2017 at 7:40 pm #778887Hi Andy
This problem makes me completely crazy!!! I did the following:
> deactive most of the plugins (facebook pro, google analytics, mail chimp, gravity forms, jetpack, yoast seo, wp super cache and event calendar)
> leaving the following plugins acitvated: akismet, vault press and really simple ssl
> problem still exists :-(
> uninstalled enfold, checked with ftp concerning remaining files (no files available)
> problem solved :-)
> installed fresh downloaded enfold template
> problem comes back – arrrghhhhh :-( !!!
> tries everything with cleaning browser cache – without any successYou’ll see best the problem onto the login page http://www.michelle-heimberg.ch/wp-admin
Feel free to deactivate some plugins for testing purpose … but please, try to fix this angry problem.
April 17, 2017 at 7:44 pm #778890There is one additional information: I got always a message “one update available” … but nothing is available under dashboard/updates?!?
April 17, 2017 at 8:05 pm #778901Hey!
Can you please try a plugin that is used to ” clear transients ” and let us know if that would solve your issue?
Thank youCheers!
BasilisApril 17, 2017 at 8:12 pm #778905Hi, I’ve installed the plugin “tranisient cleaner” and run the plug-in manually … no success :-(
April 18, 2017 at 9:01 am #779130Hi, problem solved this morning … anything special done? Daniel
April 18, 2017 at 3:33 pm #779380Hi,
no, we haven’t done anything so far. Seems like it was a simple cache issue. Glad it’s solved now. Let us know in a new ticket if you have another issue/question related to our theme. We’re happy to assist you.
Best regards,
Andy -
