Hello,
I am having an issue when I enable the sortable option for either category or tag based Full Width Masonry on WPEngine hosting. If I turn off the sortable option, the entire gallery will display but once I enable the sortable option, the gallery (and oddly the text block above it) disappear. I am using the Avia Layout builder and posts from a custom post type.
I’ve tried this in the WPEngine staging area, which is not cached, and it seems to work fine so I believe it’s an issue with the sortable option and WPEngine caching. I did purge the WPEngine cache after updating the page.
Have you seen any issues with this feature and WPEngine or other caching systems?
Kind regards,
Keith
Hi Josue!
Yes I did and their suggestion is to turn off caching on that page. Or if we know of a specific object / url that they can turn off caching for they can do that as well.
That page is our most visited page and so turning off caching is not my preferred solution but we’ll look into optimizing image sizes and see if we can get it loading quickly without the cache. Do you know the minimum image size for the standard masonry block?
Cheers!
Keith
Hi!
That is probably the best solution. I’m not familiar with how their specific caching works but if its only the one page then optimizing it is probably best and then turn of caching.
Image size would be the largest acceptable size you want but generally 900×900 is a good standard size.

Devin
