Hi everyone,
I am using Enfold’s share buttons and have following problem:
When I am using the facebook share button it shows me the facebook title and the word “WordPress” next to it.
I am sure there will be plugins to avoid this but I would prefer to avoid any plugin. As I have it still under construction I will post a temporary login in the private area.Thank you,
VasilisDecember 8, 2018 at 8:57 am #1042400Hey Vasilis,
I don’t know what this means:
Λυπάμαι, δεν σας επιτρέπεται η πρόσβαση σε αυτή τη σελίδα.
Did you check your settings for tagline and site title under Settings->General?
Best regards,
RikardDecember 9, 2018 at 1:03 am #1042629Hi @Rikard,
can you please try again. I have created the user as a subscriber.
I have the share buttons on the footer secion and whenever I share with the facebook button it shows the the site title. See screenshots
and .
However on another website I have created http://samolis.family I again use the share buttons and it works fine. On this page I am using the Yast SEO plugin and like you advised me on the other thread https://kriesi.at/support/topic/twitter-share-button-not-resolving-full-url/ that this could be the reason. I just wanted to avoid any other plugins, as this website now has more content.December 9, 2018 at 7:28 am #1042687Hi,
Thanks for that, though I can’t check anything on your installation with that account. Please upgrade it to admin rights.

RikardDecember 9, 2018 at 1:57 pm #1042738HI again,
I did it does it not work?December 10, 2018 at 5:53 am #1042910Hi,
Thanks for that, it’s working now. I get the same problem when I try to share on Fb, though I’m not sure why that is. It could be because of your special characters in the tagline: Πολιτιστικός Σύλλογος Αΐμονα «Ο ΠΛΑΤΩΝ», could you try to just put in test or something like that to see if that changes anything? Also try to run the URL through this tool: https://developers.facebook.com/tools/debug/

RikardDecember 10, 2018 at 1:49 pm #1043072Hi,
It looks like the Site Title shows always up whatever page you are sharing…. and always “- WordPress” after that.
WhenI compare to my other websiite samolis.family, it looks like it is the other way around. First it shows the page name and then the Sitle title the tagline does not show anywhere and I do not know what it is for.
I also do not think that it has to do with the Yoast Seo plugin, because even if I deactive it the result is still the same.
Should I maybe upgrade to Enfold 4.5 to see if it makes a difference?Thank you!
December 10, 2018 at 2:39 pm #1043099Hi again,
I might have found the issue. It could the “Private Only” plugin who forces you to sign in.
When I deactivate it and the site is open to public it seems to be working on most of the pages.
I will doulbe check again tomorrow….Thank you!
December 10, 2018 at 10:54 pm #1043408Hi @Rikard,
it was definetely this issue. It is working when the website is public.
Thank you!December 11, 2018 at 6:55 am #1043572Hi,
Great, glad you found the problem and thanks for sharing. I don’t know the answer to your other thread/question unfortunately, but someone will hopefully help you out as soon as possible. We have a lot to do at the moment because of the release of WordPress 5.
