    Hi guys,

I enabled Enfold’s schema, to see if the schema error message I had a couple of months ago was still there and when I enable it, Yoast schema disappears.

All my other sites have both schemas and have no problem whatsoever. And I set them all the same so this is kind of weird.

    Where did I go wrong?

    Help,

    Havi
PS: Sending you the website url on Private content.

    Hey havi,

    Thank you for the inquiry.

The schema markup from the theme is added inline combined with the template markup while Yoast schema is JSON-LD, a type of schema added as JSON, so the theme’s schema markup should not have affected the plugin’s. How do you check the schema markup?

    Best regards,
    Ismael

    Hi Ismael,

The same way I have always checked it (now I will have to use a different tool as Google is hitting this one down): https://search.google.com/structured-data/testing-tool

I am going to miss it. What are you using to check on it?

Feel free to check on the Staging site enabling and disabling Enfold’s Schema markup. I agree with you. This does not happen on any other of my Enfold sites. But it doesn’t have anything different from the rest.

This is really weird. Were is it going wrong?

    Best regards,

    Havi

    Hi Ismael,

I had to refresh staging from the live site so I am sending you the new credentials (Kinsta changes them every time).

    Thank you!

    Hi,

    Thank you for the update.

We enabled the theme’s default schema markup and the JSON-LD script or the plugin’s schema remains. (see private field)

    Best regards,
    Ismael

    Hi Ismael,

I see it now. I enabled it in the Live site and it’s working. Let’s leave this ticket open just in case I get an issue notification from the Google Search Console (which is why I had to disable it in the first place)

    Quick questions
    1. What is hentry vs Creative Work?
    2. Why are there two site navigation elements?

    Thank you!!

    Havi

    Hi,

1.) The hentry markup is a type of schema added as a css class in a container that directs the search engines to the main content of the page, while CreativeWork is a schema that tells the type of the content or page. Please check the documentation for more info.

    // https://schema.org/Thing

2.) What do you mean by site navigation elements? Did you a full width submenu element to the page?

If you have any additional questions at this time we kindly ask that you open them up in a separate thread. The longer threads get in the forum, they become more difficult to support as they tend to drift off topic and they also make it troublesome for users trying to search for solutions. Keeping threads relevant to their original inquiry ensures that we can keep better track of what has been resolved and that users can more effectively find answers to similar issues they might be experiencing.

    Thanks!

    Best regards,
    Ismael
