A client’s website is loading an Enfold root page on some computers and browsers when the URL is typed without www. or http:// before the domain name. It has the styling of the site, but contains the Enfold logo, the sample post, sample sidebar and standard footer. It has 2 Home links in the main navigation, which when clicked, go to the actual home page of the site. The website, and a link to a screen capture are attached.
Again, this only happens to a brand new user, with no cached version of the site, and only when the URL is typed WITHOUT www. or http:// in front. It doesn’t happen in all cases, but we have been able to replicate on several computers, using Chrome and Edge.
Any ideas on why this would be happening?
Hey JenOnlineSmarties,
Do you have any caching plugins installed on the site? If so please disable it for a short period of time and see if this issue resolves.
Best regards,
Jordan Shannon
There is a caching plug-in. I just deactivated it and we’ll do more testing. Thanks!!
Hi,
No problem at all, please let us know the results.
