    Hi,
We have unusually long load times on safari on mac / iphone / ipad.

    we have used
    http://www.webpagetest.org/runtest.php
for testing speed to get hard, reproducable numbers.

    Our domain is thedivorcecompany.ca
If we test with chrome – we get a first load speed of 3.08 to begin rendering.
If we test with safari, we get a first load speed of 8.6 to begin rendering (tested safari second in case there is caching on server that would help)

I reran the test against enfold’s demo site
    http://kriesi.at/themedemo/?theme=enfold-overview
i get similar disparity in results.

Obviously the load time is too long (we have a > 50% bounce rate since going live, compared to our prior 4%)
Can you help me understand by safari times are so different?

Our site has caching enabled (godaddy wordpress servers, ssd, etc). Is there anything that we are doing on the site to make it load so slow?

I know – speed is an ephemeral concept – which is why I wanted to use a test suite to show the issue.
Any help in chasing this down would be greatly appreciated.

    cheers
    Dean.

    Hi dbergsma,

I would contact your host about that issue since the browser used shouldn’t matter much when it comes to speed and loading the site. Not sure about that tool you are using either, I couldn’t even see a place to put a url to test? I would recommend you using this instead: http://tools.pingdom.com/fpt/. I tested your site there and got a 1.39s load time which I would say is very fast.

    Best regards,
    Rikard
