Hi, we updated all our sites manually to the new Enfold and Envato API system a few months ago, and all our sites are on Installatron for automatic updates however Enfold does not update automatically.
On some sites we use Transient Cleaner which was meant to make Enfold update, and on some sites the plugin is not present as it is now part of WP core. However no sites are updating either way.
Can you please let us know how we can get Enfold to update automatically, which is what the new API was supposed to do?
May 28, 2019 at 9:55 am #1104757Hi xansdesign
I don’t know what this plugin does, but as far as I know even with the API you still have to click the update button in order to update Enfold.
I am not aware of Enfold updating automatically (maybe I am wrong).Cheers from another participant
MichaelMay 30, 2019 at 12:21 am #1105304Thanks for getting back. I’ll wait for a response from Kriesi as well.
Some more info – This transient cleaner plugin was recommended to us by you guys on https://kriesi.at/support/topic/installatron-not-updating-enfold-theme/.
On that ticket part of the reply was ‘Unfortunately not all Server environments are able to make use of the auto update feature provided by ThemeForest :/’ but the theme was updating automatically before the API change.

Sorry for the problem and for the late reply. Please send us a temporary WordPress admin login and login URL so that we can have a closer look. You can post the details in the Private Content section of your reply.

June 4, 2019 at 12:11 pm #1107042Hi,
Thanks for that, though that site is already running the latest version of the theme. We would have to see a site which is not running 4.5.7.

Thanks for that, though the details are not working. Please check and verify.

June 7, 2019 at 3:18 am #1108116Hi,
Thanks for that, I clicked Update Now under Enfold->Theme Update and everything worked as expected. Your site is not running the latest version of the theme :-)

RikardJune 7, 2019 at 5:01 am #1108134Thanks – yes updating is working fine, thanks for checking..
The issue is as per our original post:
“We updated all our sites manually to the new Enfold and Envato API system a few months ago, and all our sites are on Installatron for automatic updates however Enfold does not update automatically.
On some sites we use Transient Cleaner which was meant to make Enfold update, and on some sites the plugin is not present as it is now part of WP core. However no sites are updating either way.”
So, the theme can update when we do it manually. The issue is, it is not updating automatically when there is a new theme update, since changing to Envato’s new API. The sites are on Installatron and automatic theme updates were working on the old API system.
How can we get it working so that Enfold updates automatically? Meaning, without having to go into each site individually and update manually?
June 7, 2019 at 10:19 am #1108221Hi,
So you are expecting the theme to update without any interaction from you? That is not how it works unfortunately, the least you have to do is to actually click on the update button.

June 11, 2019 at 12:10 am #1108929Hi, thanks for getting back. The only reason we are expecting it is because it was working before, and also one of your other moderators said it was possible. So what did Yigit mean in this post when he said the transient cleaner would allow the theme to update automatically?
Can you let me know what we’re missing?
