    Photoshopped example of what I want

    I’ve been messing with the News widget css for a bit and admittedly I’m not terribly good at it. So I figure I’d try to make this easy on myself and ask if anyone here can help me achieve the News widget look/layout as seen in the image.

    I already have the widget the right place on the page, but what I need is the CSS for the image size, image placement and excerpt text placement so that it ends up looking like in the image.

    Hey drhat,

    According to this site – http://downforeveryoneorjustme.com/, your website is currently down.
    In the meantime, please refer to this post – https://kriesi.at/support/topic/masonry-in-the-sidebar/#post-616896

    Sorry about that. The website is still under development and running on my local machine. I will try to leave it up and running tomorrow before I got to work. It will also be up the rest of the evening today.

    Thank you for the link

    Hi drhat,

    The way that html is generated, does not allow to make the layout the way you want just via css.
    You might want to consider using a different element there.

    Best regards,
    Victoria

    Hello Victory,

    Thank you for your reply.

    “a different element” you say. What element would you recommend? Or you have no idea?

    This is rather upsetting. Everything I add, everything I do, all changes I make, even really nice plugins I try to use as substitute end up looking broken and like everything on my site is screwed somehow:

    I tried using this: https://wordpress.org/plugins/sp-news-and-widget/ (shame because it looks like its a really nice plugin)

    This is what it looks like out of the box, no custom css, no weird configs, just standard: https://imgur.com/FMvhegO

    Why? It’s like all the thumbnail presets and overlays and so on, messes up the images and clashes the text together and just borks everything. Even the image resizes when I hover over it. Why?

    Why isn’t there a really nice news plugin or feature for Enfold? Or am I blind? I saw the “feed” page (“hello world”) looks fairly nice, but I can’t find it to use anywhere.

    Okay so I found the Blog thing that makes it looks like this: https://imgur.com/Hvf8Gcb

    But as soon as I remove the sidebar (I don’t want sidebars), it looks like this: https://imgur.com/MKg04VV

    Why? Why can’t it stay like the first one? It looks really good. I don’t understand this theme :(

    Hi,

    Please add this css code to change the layout of the “fullsize” blog page.

    #top .fullsize .template-blog .blog-meta {
        float: left;
        margin-right: 50px;
    }

    #top .content .entry-content-wrapper .entry-content-wrapper {
        padding-right: 50px;
        padding-left: 140px;
    }

    #top .fullsize .template-blog .post_author_timeline {
        display: block;
    }

    Best regards,
    Ismael
