Hi Enfold, Enfold users,
For some reason the Enfold menu/settings (backend) is not showing anymore. Please take a look at the screenshot to see exactly what I mean.
I already cleared cache & tried several browsers.Screenshot: https://imgur.com/a/RS3joJN
Any help is welcome :).
Thanks in advance!
September 8, 2020 at 7:05 am #1244176Hey mynick,
Can you try to install and activate this plugin: https://wordpress.org/plugins/enable-jquery-migrate-helper/
Wordpress 5.5 has made a major change which includes the removal of jQuery migrate plugin which is used by many plugins and themes, including the Enfold theme, with this plugin jQuery migrate is plugged in back to the site and most likely would fix that issue. This incompatibility issue was fixed beginning with Enfold 4.7.6.2 so we suggest to update to the latest version of Enfold so you can deactivate and remove this plugin unless some plugins haven’t updated yet for WP 5.5.
If installing the plugin didn’t help, you can use this plugin https://wordpress.org/plugins/update-theme-and-plugins-from-zip-file/ and do the following steps (it also works for plugins):- Make sure this plugin is installed and activated.
- Download zip file of your theme’s most recent version.
- Log in to WordPress as and Admin and go to Appearance > Themes.
- Click on the ADD NEW button.
- Click on the UPLOAD THEME button.
- Click BROWSE and choose your zip file you downloaded.
- Click the INSTALL NOW button.
If it fails for some reason, you can do manual updating via FTP: https://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/theme-update/#update-via-ftp (I would suggest via cPanel since FTP is slow)
Let us know if it helps.Best regards,

Installed the plugin, the enfold menu is appearing again :-)
But the plugin is giving the following errors:

We are working with a enfold_child theme
October 22, 2020 at 2:04 pm #1254976Hi hotspot,
The warnings just shows the code/files that uses the jQuery Migrate file or the Enable jQuery Migrate Helper plugin, you can just ignore it.
Once you updated to the latest version (but please make sure to have a backup first), you should be able to remove the plugin without any issues and also those warnings will be removed.Best regards,
NikkoOctober 23, 2020 at 10:21 am #1255204I have the same problem… and I have already installed the latest version of the enfold theme.
Will there be a new version that fixes everything?Without the “Enable jQuery Migrate Helper” plug-in Enfold does not show the theme options….
Also updating the google maps have been disabled (which I had to manually reactivate)October 23, 2020 at 11:31 am #1255221Hi emmegigrafica,
If you’re using the latest version of Enfold but still don’t have the Theme Options menu then I would suggest clearing out cache if you have a caching plugin or if there’s an internal caching from your site’s server, also try to clear out your browser cache, older js files might still be fetched that’s why it’s not showing up.
Best regards,
NikkoOctober 23, 2020 at 12:06 pm #1255229Ok perfect, solved. It was the browser cache.
Thank youOctober 23, 2020 at 3:00 pm #1255267Hi emmegigrafica,
You’re welcome :)
We’re glad that we could help.
Thanks for giving us Enfold and have a great day!Best regards,
