I am currently having a problem with Enfold (and a child theme set up by a graphic design company). Activating the Enfold theme is causing mysql to start taking forever to look up anything, causing lots of timeouts and periodically even preventing httpd from finding the associated database. When this happens, running commands on the server becomes intolerably slow (like, enter a command, wait fifteen minutes or so, come back to see results). Putty periodically cannot connect or loses connection when this happens.

There seems to be a massive number of httpd instances launched even when the wordpress site is doing nothing. I’ve reduced the maximum number of instances and that seems to have helped the massive mysqld blow-outs (and the putty slow-downs), but it doesn’t resolve the core problem that the site is inaccessible in either case.

Loading the theme 2016 only works some of the time.

I’ve installed the wordpress command line interface as the wp-admin page is also inaccessible. However, the wp-cli keeps insisting that the enfold stylesheet is missing.

Enfold (and this child theme) was working fine from about December to last weekend. I haven’t changed anything to do with wordpress, but I did set up an auto-sleep function to save on AWS costs about a week beforehand, which was working for about a week.

Am currently reinstalling httpd. I do vaguely remember increasing the maximumrequestworkers to quite high to resolve some issue or other that we were having.

    Hi,

    Sorry for the late reply!
Have you figured it out already?
Checking your website i noticed two things.
1- You are currently not using the latest version of the theme. Enfold 4.0.2 is available – kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/updating-your-theme-files/. You can read more about the update here – http://kriesi.at/archives/enfold-reimagined-version-4-0
2- Your memory limit is 128M. We recommend 256M.
Please try to increase the allocated memory to 256M: http://codex.wordpress.org/Editing_wp-config.php#Increasing_memory_allocated_to_PHP
You can contact your service provider and they can do it for you.

    Best regards,
    Yigit
