Morning.
I JUST installed enfold onto a fresh wordpress site, and pre-loaded the Default Demo template.
After playing around with this minimally, I’m now unable to use the website at my work as it is referencing a page called: malware.opendns.org
Seriously.
I tried using the plugin WordPress Reset but it still gives me the same thing. I’m going to wipe the whole site again and see what happens. something is odd here…
March 7, 2018 at 6:41 pm #923192Hi,
Thanks for contacting us!
We have not received such reports in a long time. Please also make sure that you are installing Enfold 4.2.6 and that that PHP version on your server is minimum 5.6.
Cheers!
YigitMarch 7, 2018 at 6:45 pm #923196Wow, fantastic reply time!
Looks like I’m at PHP 5.5. I will wipe, change to at least 5.6, and test – and report back later this evening.
Are there security issues with 5.5? I don’t really mess with these server settings too much. Plus I’ll need to ensure my other sites are working with this move.

March 7, 2018 at 6:51 pm #923204Hey Greazy,
If your other sites might be affected, please replace wp-content/themes/enfold/header.php file with this one – https://www.dropbox.com/s/r389b5x4ippscyn/header.php?dl=0. That would bring backwards compatibility and you would not need to upgrade PHP version. It is always better to use updated versions and here is a good read with comparison – https://kinsta.com/blog/php-7-hhvm-benchmarks/.
Let us know how it goes! :)
Best regards,
YigitMarch 8, 2018 at 3:34 pm #923920Thanks Yigit.
I only have a couple sites and thus far the upgrade hasn’t had any noticeably negative effect, so I’ll stick with 5.6.
I did do a fresh reinstall of the latest WordPress base, then installed enfold. I successfully installed the restaurant template, without issue. I just used ADVANCED WP Reset to wipe the DB, now going to try installing the default demo site again and see if I get the same issues. Stay tuned…March 8, 2018 at 6:49 pm #923992Ok. So far so good. I’m hosting on GoDaddy. Maybe there was something done at the hosting side that caused this issue. Thanks again!
