So I was reading about licenses and testing locally but I want to make sure I have this 100% correct on this before I move any further!

I am building a site locally on my computer. I love this theme and want to use it for this site as well. My only worry is what would happen when I move it to a live host? I want to install it on my local host on this computer first. What would happen once I push it to a live site? Is it tied to a domain? I want to ensure everything would transfer over smoothly!

    Thank you so much!

    Hey MaeLee48,

Using the theme on localhost is fine, you shouldn’t have any problems once you push it to your live site.

    Victoria,

So the API key should be ok when moving from local to live? I just was not sure if it would recognize it as a separate license, since the domains would be different names. It wouldn’t have the real domain until I push it to live.

Thank you guys for all your help. I love this theme.

    Hi MaeLee48

Well, on the local you don’t even need the license and you can add it once the website is live.

    Cheers!

    Hi MaeLee48,

With regards to where the codes are applied, it differs on the steps mentioned, for example in #2 it’s the wp-config.php file, located usually in public_html folder (or the root folder of your site), #3 is on functions.php which is what you shown in the screenshot.
I would suggest editing it via ftp or cpanel, since you can just remove the code if it caused any errors.

    Best regards,
    Nikko
