    Gday Enfold support
My client is using v4.6.1 and was able to show a PDF cover preview when using the Image Content type.
Personally I didn’t even realise this could be done.
Then, after I moved their site from a dev server to their hosted server, they could no longer achieve the effect.
The multiple instances that had already been created previously still held true. But any new attempts to do the same did not work.
Here is an example page, the ‘Fact Sheets’ section at the base of the page has 4 preview images, all generated as described above:
    https://www.actwomenshealthhub.org.au/womens-health/arthritis/
Is it standard now with Enfold to link the image content tool to a PDF file, and have an auto-generated PDF cover as the image? My client appears to have been able to achieve it, as described, but it’s baffling to me because I didn’t realise the theme could do that, and now it can’t do it (maybe a glitch), so you’ll see my conundrum.
Thanks for any help you can give me.
    cheers
    Darryl

    Hey itchybrain,
Sorry for the late reply, I see that the pdf’s are in a image element but when I try to recreate this I can not choose a pre existing pdf from the library, and if I upload a pdf from the element it will not show.
Also the media library is not creating thumbnails for the uploaded pdf.
I did this testing on a clean install, so I guess that perhaps your client had a pdf plugin installed or an image plugin?
Sorry, wish I could have been more help.

    Best regards,
    Mike

Thanks for your time to help resolve this Mike, I very much appreciate it. Strange situation, as I’ve used Enfold every day of the week across several sites, and never had the functionality the client was able to achieve. I manage their website, so I’m the one who installs and removes plugins, so it wasn’t that either. Total mystery! and I don’t like that kind of total mystery :( but thank you for helping me thus far. If we solve it, I will be sure to post it.
    cheers
