    Hi,

    I have just got a new job in to build a conference website for an association and I encouraged them to upgrade the WordPress theme to the Enfold theme.
    However, they have an established design criteria to follow to maintain the association’s identity. This involves a large all in one Logo header banner…please see link http://www.drogfokus.nu/
    I have tried a number of approaches to maintain the correct look but the client is not happy yet as she is concerned the aesthetic balance & design criteria set up by her colleagues some years ago is not being met yet.
    Even though Enfold has a “boxed design” option I do not seem able to add a logo banner instead of a logo (that fill the width correctly) – alternatively, I have tried putting the logo banner in the top of the page layout. If I do not add a logo a default logo arrives if I use a small white image to avoid this I can only adjust the header size to 45px. Please see my demo build site… https://democonf.se/start/start-v2/
    Can you advise me how to reduce the header custom size more than 45px i.e. to 0px or advise me with another better solution you might be able to suggest?

    Many thanks
    Nick

    Hey Niky67,

    You can make this by either editing the logo size and use it to be so big and then add a background with the details ( so make all this banner a background of the top section ).
    This should make it work out for you.

    Best regards,

    Hi Basilis,

    Thank you for your answer and suggestion, but I found using the image banner/logo as a background crops the image at different screen sizes and the client will not accept this. Unless I have missed the right set up option this will not work in this instance.

    I have found the most acceptable way to adapt the old layout design into Enfold is to have a 1px high white logo and the menu option to show below the logo area and add the logo/banner in a fullwidth layer slider on each page…please link

    Is there a way to reduce the logo area to 0px as the lowest default setting seems to be 45px?

    by using the browser insector I can edit what I am looking for…
    But if I paste adjustments like this into the quick css it seems to refresh with another piece of code making me think there are many places where this particular css is located.

    #top #header_main > .container, #top #header_main > .container .main_menu .av-main-nav > li > a, #top #header_main #menu-item-shop .cart_dropdown_link {
    /* height: 45px; */
    /* line-height: 45px; */
    }
    #top #header_main > .container, #top #header_main > .container .main_menu .av-main-nav > li > a, #top #header_main #menu-item-shop .cart_dropdown_link {
    /* line-height: 45px; */
    }
    #header_main .container, .main_menu ul:first-child > li a {
    /* line-height: 88px; */
    }
    #header_main .container, .main_menu ul:first-child > li a {
    /* height: 88px; */
    /’ line-height: 88px; */
    }
    #top #header_main > .container, #top #header_main > .container .main_menu .av-main-nav > li > a, #top #header_main #menu-item-shop .cart_dropdown_link {
    /* height: 45px; */
    /* line-height: 45px; */
    }
    #header_main .container, .main_menu ul:first-child > li a {
    /* height: 88px; */
    /* line-height: 88px; */
    }

    Most thankful if you can help with this.

    Hi,

    Thank you for the update.

    Do you have the original source of the image or banner? Can you edit it? You can extract the logo from the banner and add it separately. Set the banner as the header background and the logo image as the theme’s logo. Adding the banner as a slideshow could work but you will have to add it on every page. Creating a template might help so that you don’t have to configure the settings every time you create a page, but it would be a lot easier if you can just edit the banner file and set those resources in the header.

    Best regards,

    Hi Ismael,

    Thank you for your reply. I have found adding the banner as a background in the header does not seem to work as the banner image gets cropped at differing screen sizes and there is important information on the right of the banner image that the client wants visible. Is there a way to set a responsive background?
    Otherwise, having the “logo banner” in a slideshow seems to be the best solution, I have found…I would just like some advice on how to minimise the custom header settings to lower than 45px i.e. to 1px.

    Many thanks

    Hi,

    Thank you for the update.

    You can use this css code to adjust the height of the header.

    .responsive.html_mobile_menu_tablet #top #header_main > .container .main_menu .av-main-nav > li > a, .responsive.html_mobile_menu_tablet #top #wrap_all .av-logo-container {
        height: 45px;
        line-height: 45px;
    }

    Best regards,
    Ismael

    Hi Ismael,

    Thank you for the code, I placed this in the Enfold quick CSS, general styling section. Please advise me further as this did not work.
    Is it that I should edit a certain CSS file?

    When I use Chromes inspector to get the desired result I need to add more CSS adjustments…I add these too to the quick CSS section but still when I refresh the page another piece of CSS needs adjusting???

    Here are some examples;
    **********************************************************************

    #top #header_main > .container, #top #header_main > .container .main_menu .av-main-nav > li > a, #top #header_main #menu-item-shop .cart_dropdown_link {
    /* height: 45px; */
    /* line-height: 45px; */
    }

    #header_main .container, .main_menu ul:first-child > li a {
    /* height: 88px; */
    /* line-height: 88px; */
    }

    #top #header_main > .container, #top #header_main > .container .main_menu .av-main-nav > li > a, #top #header_main #menu-item-shop .cart_dropdown_link {
    /* height: 45px; */
    /* line-height: 45px; */
    }

    #header_main .container, .main_menu ul:first-child > li a {
    /* height: 88px; */
    /* line-height: 88px; */
    }

    #top #header_main > .container, #top #header_main > .container .main_menu .av-main-nav > li > a, #top #header_main #menu-item-shop .cart_dropdown_link {
    /* height: 45px; */
    /* line-height: 45px; */
    }

    #header_main .container, .main_menu ul:first-child > li a {
    /* height: 88px; */
    /* line-height: 88px; */
    }

    .html_header_top.html_header_sticky #top #wrap_all #main {
    padding-top: 83px;
    }

    #header_main .container, .main_menu ul:first-child > li a {
    /* height: 88px; */
    /* line-height: 88px; */
    }

    .html_header_top.html_header_sticky #top #wrap_all #main {
    padding-top: 83px;
    }

    **********************************************************************

    It confuses me that each time I add another piece of code another needs adjusting – is this the wrong way to approach this or will it eventually have re-written all the CSS values needed to achieve this?

    Many thanks for any advice on this.

    Hi,

    The css code looks redundant. Are you trying to adjust the element’s css property for different screen sizes?

    Do you have the original source file (psd, svg, affinity etc) of the banner? It will be a lot easier if we can extract the logo and the right image from that banner. You can set the logo as logo, add the right image as widget and the banner as the header background.

    Best regards,
    Ismael
