    I am setting up a new site and wish to add a simple footer area with page links or widgets.
    Flush left, once vertical column.
    Example:

    Home
    About
    Contact
    Phone
    – social icons –
    copyright 2017 me

    i Have attempted to create, layout, edit, add, ANYTHING to the template layout. I have gone into individual pages and tried all options for footer layout. Theme footer customization., etc. I got nothing but a blank space footer.

    I finally created a footer-menu in the new Menu area and figured out how to add this “footer-menu” to the site. However, the pages and links simply stream across the entire bottom of the site left to right. While this looks ok on a computer, it does not work well on a smart device as all the links are scrambled on top of each other.

    How do I create a simple footer and where do I edit this and make it function? I have searched every where for a tutorial etc. Nothing I have found in a tutorial works, such as simply adding a “new footer category” etc. Thank you in advance for any input on this mystery.

    Hey danahoff,

    Please, can you provide your WP credentials?

    Best regards,

    I have worked in WP before creating simple blogs. I am setting this new site up for an commerce business. I can find my way around the enfold theme. I do NOT know code or how to apply it without exit instructions. I have found my way through some simple “code” issues such as adding [nolink] to the copyright area to remove the enfold logo etc.

    I have watched online video tutorials and followed them exactly. Yet my footer seems to be “turned off” or somehow not functioning.

    After poking around for an hour I figured out how to create and add widgets and get them to function. I was then able to delete that footer-menu which I really no longer need.

    One more question- I have the social icons highlighted in the theme footer layout area and they appear. But the icons are VERY small. Is there any way to increase these icon sizes?

    Hi,

    Please try the following in Quick CSS under Enfold->General Styling:

    #socket .social_bookmarks a:before {
      font-size:16px !important;
    }

    Best regards,
    Rikard
