Hi, I have a customer that is not happy with the photo quality on the slideshow on home page. It is an easy slider set to magazine size 710×375. I wonder if there is some settings that I missed because some of the photos are not sharp, despite uploading original sizes (really large). Initially I resized the photos to about this size and some of did not display quite blurred. Then I uploaded original size with high resolution, the photos looks good on my screen before uploading to wp, but the large photos in the slideshow still looks blurred. If you have a look some of the photos are not resized but the ones of the lake and balcony are original large images. Thank you in advance. Kerstin

Did you try change the Slideshow Image Size setting in the element options?
Best regards,
RikardSeptember 10, 2017 at 9:01 am #850074Hi Rikard
Yes I had a look at that and it says, as below
Hide on large screens (wider than 990px – eg: Desktop)Hide on medium sized screens (between 768px and 989px – eg: Tablet Landscape)
Hide on small screens (between 480px and 767px – eg: Tablet Portrait)
Hide on very small screens (smaller than 479px – eg: Smartphone Portrait)
I don’t want to hide the slideshow on any screen size so I don’t know if this will help me?

The Slideshow Image Size option is in the Content tab, you are looking in the Screen Options tab. Could you have another look please?

Ok, i understand it is the slideshow image sizes. I have tested a coupe of things. First I resized images 800×450 with high resolution with settings origianl size. The customer thought that the slideshow was too big and I choose magazine setting from 710×375, going from larger to smaller. The images had no better quality. As mentioned in earlier post, I uploaded some images 5184 × 2768 and added them to the magazine slideshow in this size. Some still displays blurry and not as sharp as in the media library. What size should I have to have the images display as sharp as in the media library?

KerstinSeptember 10, 2017 at 10:02 am #850088Hi Kerstin,
thanks for the feedback. If you want to display them at their original resolution then you should select the No Scaling option. If you should still have problems after that then please post admin login details in private so that we can have a closer look.

I have resized all images to 700x370px and set that as an original size. They come up full width on the page and blurry. I don;t get this? Maybe yu can have a look. How do I email in details in private?

September 10, 2017 at 12:08 pm #850101Hi again Rikard
It seems that even if I resized all images to 700×370 px the slideshow still displays full width of the page template setting 1310px. If I choose featured 1530x430px for example the width is the same and same with magazine size 710x375px. I hope you can help.
