Hi, thanks for using Enfold. I like the theme a lot. But now I have a issue:

When I upload images (small, like 116 K) something strange happens. Uploading is no problem, but when I click in the media library on the image, I see a cross-mark instead of the image. The link is okay, uploads/image.jpg but the image doesn’t show up in the website anymore. When I take a look in the FTP-structure, the image does exist but Enfold or WordPress has make several images from different sizes. I understand why but the strange thing is that the original image.jpg has broken and is unusable. I even cannot download the image anymore, instead of the other, new created, images.

Extra info: I’m working with the latest versions and the server, where the website is located, is a Windows-server. So I cannot set the uploads map to 755, because the Window server doesn’t recognize it. But uploading is no problem so I don’t think that’s the issue. Maybe something with permalinks?

Ik hope you can help me. Greetings from Marcel

    Hi Rikard,

I created a temporary account. I made a new install of WordPress without Enfold Theme. I have the same issue. So it has nothing to do with Enfold. So I just want to say I understand if this is unusual for taking a look for Enfold Moderators. But I would be glad if you see the problem. The login is available.

    Regards, Marcel

    Hi Marcel,

Seems like the problem appears when you are using other Permalinks besides the Default (Standaard). I take a quick peek at the image in the media library and it shows a broken image but after refreshing the permalink, it was fixed, also I created a page called: Test and it doesn’t show up, but after changing the permalink to Default, it was also working (link in the private content).

You can check this link: https://codex.wordpress.org/Using_Permalinks for further information regarding permalinks on Windows Server. Try to contact you hosting provider to help you with it’s setup with WordPress.

    Best regards,
    Nikko
