If I put the style into Quick CSS area it works but if I move it into enfold-child/style.css it is not read in?

Hey calnettech2,

Thank you for using Enfold.

Did you toggle the css/js compression in the Performance panel after moving the css codes? That should regenerate the merged scripts and stylesheets.

It is turned to Enabled – you’re not suggesting that every time I add to the style sheet that something has to be toggled I hope. That would be a huge pain.

Hi,

I added this code – https://github.com/KriesiMedia/enfold-library/blob/master/miscellaneous/load-child-style-css-after-minification-script to functions.php file of your child theme and that helped.
