Wordpress 4.3.1, Enfold 3.3.2. I cannot drag and drop to arrange menu items with Enfold. When I switch to a different theme, the Menus admin works properly, I can drag and drop as normal. I have deactivated all plugins and that does not fix the problem.
October 1, 2015 at 8:30 pm #512422Hey scarlettr8!
Usually it’s a plugin causing a javascript error. Try completely deleting Enfold from your WordPress theme directory before downloading + uploading a fresh copy from themeforest. That will ensure all files are correct and updated.
Send us a WordPress login and we’ll take a closer look.
Cheers!
ElliottOctober 1, 2015 at 8:45 pm #512432Hi Scarlettr8,
I have the same issue with one of my websites. In my situation, then I saving mega-menu, script is cutting part of it. Thus I cannot update it. Looks like not enough space to keep all items. The problem appeared with a recent updates of WP and Enfold.
Please reply here if you able to fix the problem by removing & updating entire files collection.Igora
October 1, 2015 at 9:01 pm #512437No didn’t work. I deactivated all plugins, deleted the Enfold directory, downloaded the latest Enfold version, uploaded the Enfold directory. Then checked without any plugins activated or using the child theme and the problem persists.
October 2, 2015 at 1:02 am #512493Is there any update on this. Elliott’s solution did not solve the problem. The theme is pretty much unusable with this issue. Thanks.
October 2, 2015 at 9:07 am #512620Hi,
Are you sure that you have overwritten the theme completely? I have not seen this error before nor can I reproduce it on my end.
You could try this to see if it helps: http://kriesi.at/documentation/enfold/enfold-menu-item-limit/

Did you go to the Menus section under Appearance in the WordPress Admin. That is where the problem is, not in the builder. If I replace the theme, the Menus work fine, that confirms that the issue is with Enfold if I don’t have any plugins activated and have fully replaced the Enfold theme directory. Something in Enfold interferes with the Menus. Go to the Menus and try to reposition one of the menu items, you won’t be able to.
The problem exists in all browsers, yes caches cleared. Have tried on three different computers and the problem exists on all three.
I have replaced WordPress and the theme completely. And the max_input_vars was already increased prior to this issue starting.

October 2, 2015 at 8:03 pm #513001Hi!
Hmm, you have a copy of jQuery in your dashboard that is loading from googles CDN which should not be happening. It’s causing a javascript error which is why the menus do not work. When I activate the default theme it goes away. Are you sure you uploaded a fresh copy of Enfold?
Try completely deleting Enfold from your WordPress theme directory before downloading + uploading a fresh copy from themeforest.

October 2, 2015 at 8:33 pm #513019Hi Elliott,
Yes, that’s exactly what I did, I switched themes, deleted the Enfold directory, downloaded the theme again from Themeforest and uploaded the theme directory, and re-activated Enfold. In case it was something in the child theme, I haven’t re-activated that yet.
October 2, 2015 at 8:41 pm #513022Just noticed the Layer Slider included in Enfold is out of date. Installed version is 5.5.0 and the updated version 5.6.2 with this fix:
This will also fix other potential JS errors, such as when jQuery is moved to the footer
October 2, 2015 at 8:46 pm #513024I found the problem. There is a setting in the LayerSlider ‘Use Google CDN version of jQuery’ to solve old jQuery issues. It was selected. When I turned it off, the menus work.
