Hi Team,
I have installed theme enfold child but its editor is not showing up and we can’t edit even a single page. Please advice.
Please reply at the earliest as we are not able to edit any of the page, we have purchase theme once again, hope that helps.

You are using Enfold 2.4.2 which is not compatible with WP 4.0, updating (via FTP) the theme to the latest version will fix this issue.

JosueWe have mentioned before that we do not want to update entire folder because it might loose our customization.
please provide us exact file path and name of files for editor operation.

We are running short of time and we have just wasted 3 days in communication.
I would again repeat “Please take access of our dashboard and proceed with the required steps.” We have added our own code in header.php. if we overwrite entire theme folder, it will be overwritten and we will loose our customization.
Please make sure that atleast editor of a page is working.

We surely do. We recommend users to use a child theme if they would like to edit theme files. There is no way we can know the changes you have made to the theme files. If you only made changes in Header.php file, you can make the same changes on Enfold/includes/helper-main-menu.php file. If you have modified other files, please let us know which ones so we can point out if there are any changes on those paths

YigitPlease login into our dashboard and try to observe loopholes and feel free to update stuff if needed. we have taken backup of website.

Please post FTP access here privately and place freshly downloaded Enfold.zip file somewhere ( and tell us where ) so we can update the theme for you. I see that you have created child theme but if you have a testing environment we can update the theme there and you can check if causes any issues on the changes you have made.

We have other crucial files so if possible please try to do it without ftp.

I’ve uploaded the newer version of Enfold to your installation, your current theme has not been replaced, it’s a new theme called “Enfold Test”, you can toggle it to see if your issues get fixed.

JosueYes, We tried to toggle the test theme and its working fine.
Please Make sure that we do not loose and theme options and all other setup that’s done previuosly.
Please feel feel to activate the theme with all settings so that we can continue to operate website smoothly.

We can’t replace a theme via Dashboard (only add new ones), that’s something you need to do via FTP. Customization made through the Theme Options will not get lost, but if you have directly modified the theme files i suggest creating a backup beforehand.

JosueWe can replace content, But if you can suggest taking backup of theme options, because we tried to change theme and it got lost. If you can login and check it, plz recover theme options atleast so that we dont loose it.
For now, we cant have menu for enfold theme options so can’t take theme options backup

Yes, that’s because theme settings are bound to the theme name, so when you activate “enfold_test” the theme settings of “enfold” don’t take effect, we need to replace “enfold” but we can’t do that from the Dashboard, if you hand us FTP access we could do this for you.
