Hello, I am having is an issue with the enfold image resizer. I understand that a lot of different aspect ratios and sizes are produced for use within the site, however these images are not optimized at all.
To give you a quick comparison, here are two images, one is an original image, 1024×430 @ 61kb that was uploaded. The other is that same image but “resized” to the exact same dimensions, 1024×430 however this file is now 82kb.

Can you please explain why this happens, if you plan on fixing this issue, and if there is a way to work around this.
I currently already optimize images through PS, then with EWW, then WP smush, then EWW again, so using a 3rd party option is not going to work as I have already tested these with multiple files and regardless Enfold is creating images that are far too big for their sizes.
Hey haydaw,
You can try a solution provided here https://kriesi.at/support/topic/automatic-resized-upload-images-become-more-kb-than-the-original/#post-761007
Let me know if this was helpful.
