Hi, back in 2013 I created a site with Enfold and using Yoast Video SEO plugin. Back then it wasn’t integrated properly and in a video media element instead of just the short link eg: “https://vimeo.com/184828368” I had to use something like “<iframe src=”https://player.vimeo.com/video/184828368″></iframe>” to get it to work.
Three years on and I have built a new site again using Enfold http://fullrotation.com and thought by now it would work together as enfold and yoast video are very popular. .. but to my surprise it still doesn’t?
I contacted Yoast and they said the following
Hi David, Thanks for the email! We have an open issue request related to the Video SEO plugin and Enfold theme. Our Video SEO plugin is unable to pierce the JavaScript or the shortcode that is used to create the Video module, thus they do not appear on the sitemap. The plugin, however, is able to pickup videos if they are embedded as part of a text block.
We apologize for the inconvenience and we thank you for bringing the issue to our attention. We’ve reported this to our team of developers. We have added you to our list to be contacted when a solution is ready.
In the meantime, we ask that you please reach out to Enfold’s developers and ask them for improved compatibility with our plugin, specifically adjusting their code so our plugin can scan the Video Elements module. Additionally, we may be able to allow the developers access to the ticket report so they can comment on it. We would ask that they contact us (Email address hidden if logged out) with the ticket number #140227 in the body.
It looks like they are more than willing to work with Enfold to get it integrated properly, any chance of this happening?
Many thanksOctober 10, 2016 at 2:26 pm #697349Hey David,
Please update the theme to the latest version. That should fix any issues you are currently experiencing :)
To update to the latest version follow the simple instructions here. (Or if you want the super detailed explanation you can read this blog post)
If that does not help, feel free to reply here and we will take a closer look at the issue. In that case please also add your WordPress login credentials (in the “private data” field) so we can take a look at your admin area

AndyOctober 11, 2016 at 11:06 pm #698095Hi thanks for the reply but this is not the problem, I am already running the latest version 3.6.1. If you read my post you’ll see that this has been a problem with the yoast Video plugin not compatible with Enfolds av shortcodes since I last tried in 2013. I just thought these may work together correctly now.
Above you can see the email I received from Yoast the makers of Video SEO plugin, explaining what the problem is and they were hoping to work with Enfold to make this work.
Many thanks
October 11, 2016 at 11:33 pm #698100Hey!
3.6.1 is not the latest Enfold Version.
Also, the issue is related to Yoast and their compatibility with the builders, not enfold.
They have the same issue with Beaver Builder, Visual composer etc.We have, although asked Kriesi to contact the Yoast SEO team and try get a solution to the issue.
Thanks a lot
Cheers!
BasilisOctober 11, 2016 at 11:40 pm #698102Hey thanks for the quick response, thats sounds great thanks, I’m sure working together it can be done as both are hugely popular.
Regarding my enfold version, I have checked again and it says No Updates available. You are running the latest version! (3.6.1), I even clicked check manually in the theme options > theme update panel ? I have my API key and normally I get told if there is an update available ?
I am using a child theme now, does that affect the auto updating through the settings ?
Thanks againOctober 12, 2016 at 12:16 am #698110Hi!
Latest version is 3.8 so you are not on the latest
It is not, try install a plugin to clear transients and let us know if that will help you at all, to see the updates. Thanks a lot
Cheers!
BasilisOctober 17, 2016 at 10:04 pm #700283Hi Sorry for the delay in replying.. so I tried installing any new plugin and its still the same.. it says you are running the latest version 3.6.1
Why can I not update ?
ThanksOctober 19, 2016 at 6:01 am #700998Hi,
If you can’t update automatically, please try to update the theme manually via ftp. A shortcode instruction is provided in the following video.
