Hello,
I migrated from qtranslate to wpml after buying enfold, because I read that wpml was supported. Now I have two problems:
1. Home and News(Blog) page aren’t translated, the pages exist and have content but it isn’t displayed. Language switching on those two pages isn’t possible, it stays at the current language.
2. Masonry: On german, the first language on my site it is possible to select one or multiple category for masonry display. On English, i can only select portfolio items.
How can I solve those problems?
Thanks

October 10, 2016 at 10:58 pm #697569I solved part of the Problems myself. It turned out, that Categories weren’t translated, hence the masonry and blog post elements couldn’t show anything.
What remains is the language switching, or lack thereof, on the static Home and the Blogpage, called News.
Any ideas?Regards
ZOctober 11, 2016 at 9:19 am #697693I removed the built-in language switcher of enfold and replaced it with the language switcher in the menu provided by wpml. Switching translations now works on the News page, still not on the static Home. I’de be happier using the built in switcher and working properly.
Still it is strange, that it doesnt work like it should.
October 11, 2016 at 1:22 pm #697815Hi,
Please deactivate all plugins one by one to check which one is causing this issue and let us know if this solves the problem.
If that does not help then there might be some corrupted files, so please delete all theme files completely via FTP, before installing a fresh copy from your themeforest account. Here is a short tutorial on how to install the theme via FTP, in case you are not sure how that works:

AndyOctober 11, 2016 at 1:48 pm #697837Hi Andy,
I deleted all the files and uploaded a new download from themeforest, it didn’t change anything.
I had tried disabling all plugins before, also no change.
While i replaced the enfold files I tried activating twenty-ten – the problem also occured with this theme, so I think the problem is not related to enfold but to WPML. I hope I can solve it.Regards
ZOctober 12, 2016 at 4:16 pm #698374Hi,
unfortunately then we can’t help you, as you said yourself already, it is not theme related. Please contact WPML support about this issue.
Best regards,
AndyOctober 12, 2016 at 6:37 pm #698472Thanks anyway for your reply.
I figured it out myself – something with my permalinks and url-rewrites was messed up. I hardcoded wp-home and wpsiteurl into config.php, resaved my permalinks. Now it is working, even the directory-option of wpml that wasn’t working before. In the meantime I took wp-home and wpsiteurl out of config.php and it is still working. Don’t know why it worked but it did.Regards
ZOctober 14, 2016 at 12:25 pm #699069Hi,
glad it’s working for you now. Let us know in a new ticket if you have some more questions related to the theme. We are happy to assist you.
Best regards,
