    Hello, I installed enfold yesterday, and now I’m playing with it, one of the first things I did, was to password protect the folder wp-admin using cpanel, when I tried to enter to the root folder of my website, I realized that it was asking me user/password as if I was trying to enter into the password protected folder, So I’m wondering if enfold is trying to access the wp-admin folder for any reason and if it is, how to use the password protected wp-admin folder with enfold.

    If I click “Cancel” it appears to load without problems, but every time I click to another page, the page try to ask the user/password for the wp-admin folder.

    Sorry my bad English!

    In other forum I was told to add this:

    <Files admin-ajax.php>
    Order allow,deny
    Allow from all
    Satisfy any
    </Files>

    to the wp-admin .htaccess, and it solved it!

    Hi!

    I’ve never heard of passwording wp-admin but I’m glad you found a solution for it. In general however it shouldn’t be needed and isn’t recommended.

    Best regards,
    Devin
