Hello,
I’ve read a few of the threads here: https://kriesi.at/support/topic/sidebar-not-visible-after-updating-the-events-calendar-to-4-2-5/#post-679786
andNeither of the code examples seem to help.
I’ve trying to override the single-event.php file on event calendar but nothing is happening.
What ive done so far.
Created a tribe-events/ folder in the child theme directory, placed the single-event.php and the default-template.php in that directory. No changes I make to the files show live.Is enfold overriding these files?
May 2, 2017 at 2:42 pm #786383Hey Roger,
Please try adding your file in following path on your child theme /tribe-events/list/single-event.php
If that does not help, please post FTP logins here privately as well :)Best regards,
YigitMay 2, 2017 at 4:27 pm #786498That did not work either. I’ve posted the ftp details below.
I should also note, that the files placed in tribe-events/modules/meta/ overrides work just fine. Just these main template files in this directory arent workingMay 2, 2017 at 10:11 pm #786759Hi,
I added the code from the other to functions.php file of your child theme, then moved default-template.php file into /views folder and moved single-event.php file to /tribe-events folder and it worked. Please review your website now :)
Best regards,
YigitMay 2, 2017 at 10:14 pm #786763The style and layout is all jacked up now?
May 2, 2017 at 10:25 pm #786767The style should like like this http://sheldontheatre.sieverscreative.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/05/screencapture-sheldontheatre-sieverscreative-event-doo-wop-project-1493756389279.png
I’m guessing that completely removed the stylesheet.

May 2, 2017 at 11:41 pm #786792Hi,
I overwrote default-template.php file with a fresh one. Please review your website :)
Best regards,
YigitMay 2, 2017 at 11:49 pm #786794Thank you, I see you added in a css file event-mod.css.
The column layout is still messed up. Is it pulling all styles from the event-mod.css file now?
See this is what it shows like now:

That is because of the changes you have done on single-event.php file. If it was not a something major, maybe you could let us know about the changes you applied/want to apply so we could solve this issue together quicker :)
Cheers!
YigitMay 3, 2017 at 12:13 am #786802We are looking to place the featured image as a full width background image header with the event title as an overlay.
I have not made any changes to the single-event.php file in tribe-events/ yet and to confirm just replaced it with the original.
Thoughts on how to fix?
May 3, 2017 at 3:23 pm #787182Hi,
I overwrite single-event.php file with a fresh one so that brought back the default layout. You can now modify it and apply the changes you would like to make.
Unfortunately it would require quite some time and customization of the theme to achieve this, so I am sorry to tell you that this is not covered by our support. However if its really important for you to get this done, you can always hire a freelancer to do the job for you :)
Best regards,
