Enfold and Adsense

Hi!
I have tried several plugins now to make Adsense ads show up somewhere on my webpage. Whatever I do, nothing happens or at best I get a blank field – that is – I can see that “something takes up space” on the website, but there is nothing but white.

Could someone provide me with an idiot-proof way of getting adsense ads to show up? I think the sidebar will do for me.
